Troy Trojans Softball
The Troy Trojans softball team represents Troy University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans play their home games at Troy Softball Complex located on the university's campus. The program is one of the Top 50 winningest softball programs in the Division I, and has an overall record of 988–660–4 () as of the end of the 2021 season. History Upon Troy University's athletics moving all sports to the NCAA's Division I in 1993, the Troy softball program was started that same year and officially began their first season in 1994 under head coach Melanie Davis. Troy Softball Complex
The Troy Softball Complex, built in 2002 on the campus of Troy University, is the home stadium for the Division I (NCAA) Troy Trojans softball team. In 2014, the entire complex underwent a $3 million renovation project. The official seating capacity is 800, with 120 of the seats being chairback seating. The Dodd Center was built in 2014 during the renovation, which houses coaches offices, player lounge, and locker rooms, and indoor batting cages. In the opening game of 2014, Troy hosted Auburn at the newly renovated field, finishing in a 5-5 tie with the Tigers. The Lady Trojans' record at home is 377-193-2 as of the end of the 2018 season. South Carolina Gamecocks
The South Carolina Gamecocks represent the University of South Carolina in the NCAA Division I. The University of South Carolina uses "Gamecocks" as its official nickname and mascot. While the men's teams were traditionally known as the Fighting Gamecocks and the women's teams were previously known as the Lady Gamecocks, this distinction was discontinued in part to eliminate any gender bias in the athletic department and in part to counter misconceptions about the gamecock mascot endorsing bloodsport. Texas State Bobcats
The Texas State Bobcats are the sports teams that represent Texas State University. Currently, they compete in the Sun Belt Conference in NCAA Division I (Football Bowl Subdivision for football). The Bobcat has been the mascot of Texas State University since 1921, when the university adopted the name from the recommendation of a committee formed to raise school spirit. Though considerably smaller than mountain lions, bobcats are known for their stubborn fierceness and great courage. The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team represents the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Sun Belt Conference. The Ragin' Cajuns are currently led by soon-to-be third-year head coach Gerry Glasco after former head coach Michael Lotief was fired on November 1, 2017.
