Trouble With Eve
''Trouble with Eve'' is a low budget 1960 British comedy film directed by Francis Searle and starring Hy Hazell, Sally Smith, Robert Urquhart and Garry Marsh. It was based on the play ''Widows are Dangerous'' by June Garland. It was shot at Walton Studios. The film was released in the U.S. in 1964 as ''In Trouble With Eve''. Premise In the sleepy English village of Warlock, Louise Kingston (Hy Hazell) converts her cottage into "The Willow Tree", a commercial tearoom. However, scandal ensues when the local inspector gets caught with his pants down, and the tea room is rumoured to be a brothel. Denis Shaw
Denis Shaw (7 February 1921 – 28 February 1971) was a British character actor specialising in slimy villains. Born in Dulwich as Douglas Findlay Shaw, he was a rotund man, with dark, wavy hair and slanty eyes. This appearance meant he would often be found troubling countless heroes of the 1950s and 1960s on film and television, most memorably as the German guard Priem in ''The Colditz Story'' (1955). Alternatively, he could also be found propping up the tavern bar in a number of British horror films. These include ''Jack the Ripper'' (1959), ''The Mummy'' (1959) and ''The Curse of the Werewolf'' (1961). He was cast in the leading role of '' The Great Van Robbery'' (1959) as the judo-throwing Interpol detective Caesar Smith. Wilfred William Dennis Shine (20 October 1911 – 24 July 1997) was a British theatre, film and television actor. Sir Bruce Lovat Seton, 11th Baronet (29 May 1909 – 28 September 1969) was a British actor and soldier. He is best remembered for his eponymous lead role in ''Fabian of the Yard''. Early life Bruce Lovat Seton was born in Simla, British India, the younger of two sons of Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Bruce Gordon Seton of Abercorn (1868–1934), 9th Baronet and his wife, Elma Armstrong (died 1960). He was educated at Edinburgh Academy and then trained at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst.
