"Trouble on My Mind" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Pusha T, released as the lead single from his debut EP '' Fear of God II: Let Us Pray''. It was produced by longtime collaborators The Neptunes along with Odd Future's Left Brain and features a guest appearance from fellow American rapper and Odd Future's frontman Tyler, the Creator. The song was unveiled July 8, 2011, and premiered viRedBullUSA.com it was officially released on July 12, through iTunes and Amazon. The song was also included on the soundtrack to the film '' Project X''. Reception Critical response In response, Tyler's verses were met with more criticism than Pusha T's, though the song as a whole was acclaimed. Terrence LeVarr Thornton (born May 13, 1977), better known by his stage name Pusha T, is an American rapper, songwriter and record executive. He rose to prominence as one-half of the hip hop duo Clipse, which was mainly active from 1994 to 2010, alongside his older brother No Malice. As Clipse, the two released three studio albums and a number of mixtapes, and had hit singles including "Grindin'" and "When the Last Time" (both 2002). In September 2010, Pusha T signed to Kanye West's GOOD Music imprint, under the aegis of Def Jam Recordings. Jason Goldwatch (born September 1, 1976) is an American music video director and commercial director who is a Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director of Decon, a creative agency and record label based in New York. ''Project X'' is a 2012 American found footage teen comedy film directed by Nima Nourizadeh, written by Michael Bacall and Matt Drake and produced by Todd Phillips. The film follows three friends—Thomas (Thomas Mann), Costa (Oliver Cooper) and J.B. (Jonathan Daniel Brown)—who attempt to gain popularity by throwing a party, a plan which quickly escalates out of their control. The title ''Project X'' was initially a placeholder for a final title, but interest generated by the secretive title kept it in place. A nationwide open casting call was employed to find fresh faces.
