Troitskaya, Republic Of Ingushetia
Troitskaya ( inh, Эбарг-Юрт, ''Ebarg-Jurt''; russian: Троицкая) is a stanitsa in Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia, Russia. It was founded on the site of the historic Ingush village of Ebarg-Yurt. It is located on the Sunzha River. Population: . History The village of Troitskaya was founded in 1845 near the former military fortification of Volynsky, in what is now the Sunzha region of the Chechen-Ingush Republic. The settlement was originally inhabited by settlers from the Don Cossacks, the Caucasus region, and the Voronezh Governorate. Over time, former soldiers and Cossacks were also placed in the village. 1845–1874: Founding and early years On July 22, 1846, Troitskaya was attacked by an armed formation of Orstkhoys, but the Sunzha Cossacks were able to repulse the attack and drive the attackers away. Beslan
Beslan (russian: Бесла́н; os, Беслӕн, ''Beslæn'', ) is a town and the administrative center of Pravoberezhny District of the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania, Russia, located about north of the republic's capital Vladikavkaz, close to the border with the Republic of Ingushetia. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 36,728, making it the third largest town in the republic behind Vladikavkaz and Mozdok. North Caucasus Railway ( rus, Северо-Кавказская железная дорога) is a broad gauge Russian railway network that links the Sea of Azov (in the west) and Caspian Sea (in the east). Magas
Magas (russian: Мага́с) is the capital town of the Republic of Ingushetia, Russia. It was founded in 1995 and replaced Nazran as the capital of the republic in 2002. Due to this distinction, Magas is the smallest capital of a federal subject in Russia. In 2019, it had a population of 8,771 inhabitants, up from 5,841 in 2010 and 272 in 2002. History The Republic of Ingushetia came into existence in 1992, having been split from the Chechen–Ingush ASSR. Nazran, the largest of three towns of the new republic, was made a temporary capital. In 1995, President Ruslan Aushev founded Magas just a few kilometers south of Nazran, naming it after the medieval city of Maghas. The new town was supposed to serve purely for administrative needs. Sunzha (russian: Сунжа, Sunzha; inh, Шолжа-Пхье, Šolža-Pꜧe; is a town and the administrative center of the Sunzhensky District of the Republic of Ingushetia Russia.
