Troglodytes (bird)
''Troglodytes'' is a genus of small passerine birds in the wren family. These wrens are around long. They are brownish above and somewhat paler below, with strong legs. Their short rounded wings and frequently cocked tail have a dark barred pattern. The flight is direct and buzzing. ''Troglodytes'' wrens are mostly found in somewhat cooler habitats than most of their relatives. Most of the species are found in the mountains from Mexico to northern South America. Five species are found in temperate latitudes: The house wren occurs widely in both tropical and temperate lowlands, but is frequently split into several species. Until recently, the hardy winter wren was believed to have a wide distribution in North America, Europe, Asia and North Africa, but it has recently been split into three species, of which the Eurasian wren is the only wren of any genus found outside the New World. Troglodyte (band)
Troglodyte is a death metal band from Independence, Missouri. The band has a horror punk inspired look and writes songs about Bigfoot. They have released four studio albums so far. History Formed in early 2005, the band was formed by singer Jeff Sisson, drummer Chris Wilson, and guitarist Jack Riedel. Soon after the creation of the band they were joined by bassist Gary Wray, who formerly played for The Feds and Fire Theory. After Gary Wray's departure from the band in early 2006, bassist Ben Von Schiefelbusch soon joined the band. Troglodyte released their demo CD 'Anthropoid Effigy Demos' in 2008. Soon they were joined by a second guitar player Jeremy Bruen, who was in the band for about 6 months. During the next few years Troglodyte played numerous shows with national acts such as Testament, Iced Earth, Obituary, Origin, among others. ''Bone Tomahawk'' is a 2015 American Western film written and directed by S. Craig Zahler in his directorial debut. It stars Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Richard Jenkins, Lili Simmons, Evan Jonigkeit, David Arquette, and Sid Haig and was produced by Jack Heller and Dallas Sonnier. "Troglodyte (Cave Man)", originally released as "Troglodite", is a 1972 novelty funk song by the Jimmy Castor Bunch. In the US, it peaked at No. 4 on the R&B chart and No. 6 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. ''Billboard'' ranked it as the No. 80 song for 1972. The song has been sampled in hip-hop and dance music. In Canada, the song reached No. 1 for two weeks in July 1972, and was No. 29 on the ''RPM''/Kowal year-end chart. ''Cave World'' is the third studio album by Swedish post-punk band Viagra Boys. It was released on 8 July 2022, through YEAR0001. Background and recording ''Cave World'' was written during the COVID-19 lockdowns, which serves a basis for much of the album, particularly with songs referring to hesitancy to COVID-19 vaccines. The album also was influenced by the origin of humans during the Paleolithic era (particularly cavemen), conspiracy theories, especially conspiracy theories and misinformation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and QAnon supporters. The chimpanzee (''Pan troglodytes''), also known as simply the chimp, is a species of Hominidae, great ape native to the forest and savannah of tropical Africa. The Troggs (originally called the Troglodytes) are an English garage rock band formed in Andover, Hampshire in May 1964.
