Tristan Purifoy
Tristan Purifoy (born May 24, 1990) is an American football wide receiver for the Columbus Lions of the National Arena League (NAL). He played college football at the University of North Alabama. College career Out of high school, Purifoy signed to play college football at Jones County Junior College. Following two years at Jones County, Purifoy signed to play with the University of North Alabama. Purifoy primarily played special teams as a junior, but as a senior, Purifoy increased his role as a wide receiver. Purifoy lead the Lions with 1,181 all-purpose yards in 2011. His 867 receiving yards in 2011, were the 5th best receiving year in school history. Professional career Florida Tarpons Purifoy signed with the Florida Tarpons of the Ultimate Indoor Football League (UIFL) in 2014. Ultimate Indoor Football League
The Ultimate Indoor Football League (UIFL) was a regional professional indoor football league that began its inaugural season on February 18, 2011 as the Ultimate Indoor Football League before playing as the United Indoor Football League in 2012, then switched back to "Ultimate" for the 2013 season. After the 2014 season, the league merged with X-League Indoor Football. History On February 18, 2011, the first-ever UIFL game was played between the Saginaw Sting and the Eastern Kentucky Drillers. The inaugural game was held at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Michigan. The league co-founders are Michael Taylor and Andrew Haines; Haines was also the owner and founder of the Atlantic/American Indoor Football League and the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League. 2018 CAFL Season
The 2019 CAFL season was the second season of the China Arena Football League (CAFL). Background After the 2016 season, the Dalian Dragon Kings and Shenzhen Naja relocated to become the Shenyang Black Rhinos and Wuhan Gators, respectively. In June 2017, it was announced that the 2017 season was being moved to the spring of 2018. In January 2018, the league postponed the start of their second season to continue to establish business partnerships in China. The league has targeted a return to play in the autumn of 2019. In September 2019, the CAFL released an abbreviated schedule, with a two-game regular season and a playoff tournament featuring all four teams, with games played November 6, 9, 20 and 23.
