Trinity Methodist Church, Harrogate
Trinity Methodist Church, Harrogate is located in Harrogate. It is a Grade II listed building. History Construction started in October 1876 and the church opened in April 1879. It was built in the Gothic style, and comprises a 3 bay porch, 3 bay nave, with sanctuary and transepts. The architect was George Woodhouse. Matthew Wilson of Headingley was the mason, Taylor and Son of Bradford carried out the joinery work, John Baines of Ripon the slating, Morrell and Hartley of Bradford were the painters, Walmisley of Preston the glaziers and Exley and Son of Otley supplied the heating apparatus. The north west tower and spire was added in 1889. A major renovation project was undertaken between 2009 and 2011. Hillsborough Trinity Methodist Church is situated in the Hillsborough area of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England. It stands north-west of the city centre on Middlewood Road across from Hillsborough Park at grid reference . History The church was built at the beginning of the 20th century by John W. Firth to cater to the increasing population as it expanded into the countryside around Sheffield. The site was purchased from J. Willis Dixon of Hillsborough Hall (now Hillsborough library) in December 1898 for £547. An “Iron Church” was erected on nearby Leader road and was used for temporary worship while the church was being built. Hillsborough Trinity was designed in the Gothic style and cost £5,500, opening on 1 September 1902. Trinity Methodist Church (Savannah, Georgia)
Trinity Methodist Church, located in Savannah, Georgia, was built in 1848. It stands in the southwestern trust/civic block of Telfair Square. The trustees of Wesley Chapel, named for Methodist preacher John Wesley and located on what was formerly known as South Broad Street (today's Oglethorpe Avenue), purchased the land on which the church stands in 1848 in order to build a sanctuary to house their growing congregation. Its foundation stone was laid on February 14, 1848. The first service was held in the Corinthian order structure, designed by John B. Hogg, in 1850. In 1895, Robert McIntire donated funds for the construction of a Sunday School building. This building was replaced in 1927 by a modern, four-storey building. This building was destroyed by fire in 1991. The sanctuary was renovated in 1967, restoring the original 1848 design.
