Trinity High School (Renfrew)
Trinity High School is a Roman Catholic secondary school in Renfrew, Scotland. The school's building was originally the site of the state school Renfrew High, but in 1975 Renfrew High School moved to a new larger site, and the building became Trinity High School. Over the years an ICT block and an extension have been built. The extension now houses the Religious Education department, Home Economics department and the Modern Languages department. The school's pastoral system is organised into four houses. They are: St Therese House, St Andrew's House, St Columba's House and St Margaret's House. Renfrew (; sco, Renfrew; gd, Rinn Friù) is a town west of Glasgow in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. It is the historic county town of Renfrewshire. Called the "Cradle of the Royal Stewarts" for its early link with Scotland's former royal house, Renfrew gained royal burgh status in 1397. Renfrew High School
Renfrew High School is a state-run secondary school in Renfrew, Renfrewshire, Scotland. The school roll in September 2019 was 816. The headteacher since October 2013 is Mr Billy Burke. History The headteacher when the school opened in 1908 was John Irving. Formerly, the school was based in the building that now houses Trinity High School, and when it was opened in 1908 it was known as Glebe High Public School, but, due to expansion, a purpose-built premises was designed close to the initial building, and the original building became a Catholic school. Gavin Andrew Stuart Newlands (born 2 February 1980) is a Scottish National Party politician. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Paisley and Renfrewshire North since the 2015 general election. He has served as the SNP Shadow Secretary of State for Transport since 2020. Newlands is the first ever MP for the constituency to be elected from the SNP. At the 2017 general election, he was re-elected, with a reduced majority of 9,076 votes to 2,613. Subsequently, at the 2019 election Newlands achieved his biggest majority in the seat, of 11,902 or 24.0% of the vote. Christopher Charles Stephens (born 20 March 1973) is a Scottish National Party (SNP) politician. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow South West since the 2015 general election. He has been serving as SNP Spokesperson for Levelling Up since December 2022.
