The Trinbago Knight Riders are a women's cricket team that compete in the Women's Caribbean Premier League and The 6ixty, representing Trinidad and Tobago. The formation of the team was announced in March 2022, aligned with the equivalent men's team, playing their first match in August 2022. The team's first squad was announced in June 2022, with the side captained by Deandra Dottin. The side won the inaugural Women's Caribbean Premier League, beating Barbados Royals in the final. Deandra Jalisa Shakira Dottin (born 21 June 1991) is a Barbadian cricketer and former track and field athlete. A right-handed batter and right-arm fast bowler, Dottin made her debut for the West Indies women's cricket team in June 2008. She plays as a hard-hitting lower-order batter, and scored the first century in a Women's Twenty20 International in 2010. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps.
