''Trilateral'' is the third studio album from My Ransomed Soul. They released the album on February 24, 2015. Critical reception Awarding the album three stars from ''HM (magazine), HM Magazine'', David Stagg states, "Trilateral has bite", yet "My Ransomed Soul's curse: pantomiming the same dramatic turns most metalcore albums take." Andy Shaw, rating the album an eight out of ten at Cross Rhythms, writes, "My Ransomed Soul are a band that is creatively growing with each album with this set providing a perfect balance between brutality and beauty, anger and a passion for God." My Ransomed Soul
My Ransomed Soul was an American metalcore band from Maryland. Formed in 2007, the band's final lineup consisted of Brendan Frey (vocals), Garrison Frey (guitar), Hector Fernandez (guitar), Andrew Markle (Bass), and Fredy Menjivar (drums). The group released three full-length albums: ''The Chains That Bind Us'' (2012), ''Falsehoods'' (2013), and ''Trilateral (album), Trilateral'' (2015) as well as three EPs. History The band was formed by vocalist Brendan Frey, guitarist Garrison Frey, and drummer Daniel Proffitt in 2007. The band's first release, ''My Ransomed Soul'', was an extended play, that was released independently in 2009, while they released another extended play independently, ''Hourglass'', in 2010, and their third independent extended play, ''Perceptions'', in 2011. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus. Death growls and gang vocals are common. 1990s metalcore bands were inspired by hardcore while later metalcore bands were inspired by melodic death metal bands like At the Gates and In Flames. Cross Rhythms is a Christian media organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It operates an FM and online radio station, produces radio shows sent internationally, and its website has resources about contemporary Christian music. History 1983–2002 In 1983, Chris Cole started a 30-minute weekly Christian music radio show on Plymouth Sound FM, an Independent Local Radio station in Plymouth.
