Triglia Rafina F.C.
Triglia Rafinas ( el, Τριγλία Ραφήνας) is a Greek amateur association football club located in Rafina, Attica, Greece. It was founded in 1931 by a particular union of amateur clubs. The original symbol of the team was the barbouna or red Mullet (trigli). Its colors are black and yellow, which are the colors of the Byzantine flag. Today, the club keeps its colors, but the symbol has been changed to a two-headed eagle, the Byzantine symbol. Foundation and first years The founders of the team were Anastasios Lyrantzis, Stellios Tseropoulos, Dimitrios, Rigas and Vasillis Voudouris. They originated the idea of uniting many local, unofficial athletic clubs like Vyzantio and Propontida, which were founded by teenagers or children. 2017–18 Gamma Ethniki
The 2017–18 Gamma Ethniki was the 35th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It started on 1 October 2017. After the finish of the eight groups, the first team of each group will qualify for a playoff round of two groups, to determine which four teams will be promoted to Football League. 97 teams were divided into eight groups according to geographical criteria. The Gamma Ethniki ( el, Γ΄ Εθνική Ερασιτεχνική Κατηγορία, C National Amateur Division) is the third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. Although not literally national (it is divided into ''North'' and ''South'' groups), Football League 2 is considered as a national division. On 3 August 2010, it was announced that the division had been renamed ''Football League 2''. From season 2013–14, the football League 2 is merged by fourth division championship (Delta Ethniki) and renamed again Gamma Ethniki. Rafina ( el, Ραφήνα) is a suburban port town located on the eastern coast of Attica in Greece. It has a population of 13,091 inhabitants (2011 census). Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Rafina-Pikermi, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 18.979 km2. It is part of Athens metropolitan area. Geography Rafina lies on the Aegean Sea coast, east of the Penteli mountains and northeast of the Mesogaia plain. Mullet (fish)
The mullets or grey mullets are a family (Mugilidae) of ray-finned fish found worldwide in coastal temperate and tropical waters, and some species in fresh water. Mullets have served as an important source of food in Mediterranean Europe since Roman times. The family includes about 78 species in 20 genera. Mullets are distinguished by the presence of two separate dorsal fins, small triangular mouths, and the absence of a lateral line organ. They feed on detritus, and most species have unusually muscular stomachs and a complex pharynx to help in digestion. Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium ( el, Γήπεδο Απόστολος Νικολαΐδης), commonly known as Leoforos Alexandras Stadium or Leoforos Stadium, is a football stadium and multi-sport center in Athens, Greece.
