Charisia ( grc, Χαρισία), or Charisiae or Charisiai (Χαρισιαί), was a city in ancient Arcadia. It was part of the Eutresia region. Charisia was named after its founder Charisius, a son of Lycaon (king of Arcadia), Lycaon. Ancient Arcadia
Arcadia ( el, Ἀρκαδία) is a region in the central Peloponnese. It takes its name from the mythological character Arcas, and in Greek mythology it was the home of the gods Hermes and Pan. In European Renaissance arts, Arcadia was celebrated as an unspoiled, harmonious wilderness; as such, it was referenced in popular culture. The modern regional unit of the same name more or less overlaps with the historical region, but is slightly larger. Zoeteium
Zoetia or Zoitia ( grc, Ζοιτία), or Zoetea or Zoitea (Ζοιτέα), also known as Zoeteium or Zoiteion (Ζοίτειον), was a town of ancient Arcadia, Greece, in the region of Eutresia. According to Greek mythology, the settlement was founded by Zoeteus (Ζοιτεύς), a son of Tricolonus, a relative of Lycaon. Paroreus (Παρωρεὺς) the youngest son of Tricolonus founded the city of Paroria which was 10 stadia (1.8 km) from Zoetia. When Pausanias visited the city in the 2nd century, it was already abandoned. Karatoulas ( el, Καράτουλας) is a village in the municipality of Megalopoli, Arcadia, Greece. It is situated on a hillside in the southwestern foothills of the Mainalo mountains, at about 750 m elevation. It is 2 km northwest of Vangos, 3 km southeast of Lykochia and 9 km northeast of Megalopoli. Karatoulas had a population of 28 in 2011.
