''Trichadenotecnum'' is a genus of insects in the order Psocoptera, the booklice, barklice, and bookflies. It is one of the largest genera, including over 200 described species.Yoshizawa, K., et al. (2010)Description of a new species of the ''Trichadenotecnum roesleri'' species group from Brazil (Insecta: Psocodea:“Psocoptera”: Psocidae) and its phylogenetic implications.''Studies on Neotropical Fauna and Environment'' 45(1) 61-66. The biology of the genus is similar to that of many other booklice. ''T. alexanderae'', for example, feeds on Pleurococcus, pleurococcine algae and the female reproduces by mating with a male.Betz, B. W. (1983)The biology of ''Trichadenotecnum alexanderae'' Sommerman (Psocoptera: Psocidae). II. Duration of biparental and parthenogenetic reproductive abilities.''Journal of the Kansas Entomological Society'' 56(3) 420-26. In some closely related species, the females instead undergo thelytoky, producing eggs without fertilization.Betz, B. W. (1983)Syst ...
