It is inspired by and based on the 1987 ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' animated series and borrows stylistically from the arcade and home console ''Turtles'' games developed by Konami during the 1980s and 1990s. Created by game artist Adam Capone in 2009, it posts audacious game design ideas in the style of Molyneux.
