Triathlon At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Qualification
This article details the qualifying phase for triathlon at the 2020 Summer Olympics . The competition at these Games will comprise a total of 110 athletes coming from their respective NOCs; each has been allowed to enter a maximum of three. All athletes must undergo a qualifying process to earn a spot for the Games through the Continental Qualification Events, the World Qualification Event, and then the Olympic Qualification List that began on May 11, 2018, and then concludes two years later on the same date. Richard Murray (born 4 January 1989, in Cape Town) is a Dutch/South African triathlete. Murray won the Junior ITU Duathlon World Championships in 2007 and 2008, entered the adult Tri in 2009, and was the Under-23 African champion in both triathlon and duathlon in 2010, and was the elite African triathlon champion in 2011 and 2012. Henri Schoeman (born 3 October 1991) is a South African triathlete. He represented his country at the 2016 ITU Grand Final in Cozumel where he won the gold medal, the 2016 Summer Olympics where he won a bronze medal, and the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where he won a silver medal in the mixed relay.
