Triana Park
Triana Park ( lv, Triānas Parks) is a Latvian group founded in 2008 consisting of lead vocalist and founder Agnese Rakovska, guitarist Artūrs Strautiņš, drummer Edgars Viļums and bassist Kristaps Ērglis. Their style combines pop and electronic with hints of hip-hop and rock. They represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with their song " Line" They also previously attempted to represent the nation in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. Career The group was formed by Agnese Rakovska and her father Aivars Rakovski, with them being joined by Edgars Viļums and eventually also by Kristaps Ērglis. They attempted to represent Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, failing to win the ''Eirodziesma''. The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Latvia won the contest in 2002, with Marie N and the song " I Wanna", defeating Malta by 12 points. Latvia is the second former Soviet country to win the contest. Funny Girl (Laura Rizzotto Song)
Latvia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Funny Girl" written and performed by Laura Rizzotto. The Latvian broadcaster Latvijas Televīzija (LTV) organized the national final ''Supernova 2018'' in order to select the Latvian entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. 21 songs were selected to compete in the national final, which consisted of four shows: three semi-finals and a final. In the semi-finals on 3, 10 and 17 February 2018, two entries were selected to advance from each show alongside two wildcards selected by LTV. Eight songs ultimately qualified to compete in the final on 24 February 2018 where a public televote and a four-member jury panel selected "Funny Girl" performed by Laura Rizzotto as the winner. Laura de Carvalho Rizzotto ( lv, Laura di Karvaļu Rizoto; born 18 July 1994) is a Latvian-Brazilian singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist. She released her debut studio album ''Made in Rio'' in 2011 through Universal Music Brazil, which included the single "Friend in Me". In 2014, she independently released her second studio album ''Reason to Stay'', and independently released the extended play ''RUBY'' in 2017. "Heartbeat" is a song performed by Latvian singer Justs. The song represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, and was written by previous Latvian Eurovision entrant Aminata Savadogo.
