Tri-County Conference (MHSAA)
The Tri-County Conference (TCC) is an MHSAA athletic league currently located in Hillsdale, Lenawee, and Monroe Counties. The charter members were Britton-Macon, Deerfield, and Madison in Lenawee Country, St. Thomas (Now Father Gabriel Richard) and Whitmore Lake in Washtenaw County, and Summerfield in Monroe County. Whiteford would leave the Michigan-Ohio Border Conference and Sand Creek would leave the Lenawee County Athletic Association (LCAA) to join the TCC beginning in the 1975-76 sports season, while St. Thomas would depart to be an independent at the conclusion of the season. Morenci would leave the LCAA and join the conference in 1981. In 2007, Clinton would also leave the LCAA to join the conference. This would give the TCC 9 member schools at one time. Michigan High School Athletic Association
The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) is a service organization for high school sports in Michigan and is headquartered in East Lansing. It is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). Toledo Area Athletic Conference
The Toledo Area Athletic Conference (TAAC) is a high school athletic conference located in northwest Ohio, with member schools stretched across Lucas, Williams, and Wood counties. It was formed in 1988, and the league sponsors football, cross country, volleyball, golf, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, and track & field. Current members Edon, Hilltop, and Montpelier are primarily members of the Buckeye Border Conference for all sports, except for football, which is the only sport that they compete in the TAAC for. Northfield Township, Michigan
Northfield Township is a civil township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,514 at the 2020 census. Communities * Emery is an unincorporated community located within the township at . Emery was settled as early as 1831 by Joshua Leland from Madison County, New York. Deerfield Public Schools
The Deerfield Public School District, was a public school district in Lenawee County, Michigan and covered the area of Deerfield Township, as well as some surrounding areas. It merged with Britton Macon Area schools to form the Britton Deerfield School District in 2011. The two schools had already merged sports teams. It had one building in Deerfield, Michigan which handled a majority of the classes from Kindergarten through 12th Grade. The school now serves as the middle school for the merged Britton-Deerfield district. Some 11th and 12th grade students also attended classes at the LISD TECH Center in Adrian, Michigan. The Britton-Macon Area School District, often shortened to Britton Schools, was in Lenawee County, Michigan and covered the area of Ridgeway and Macon Townships, though not exclusively. The Catholic High School League (CHSL) is a school athletic conference based in Detroit, Michigan, led by director Victor Michaels. Most member schools are also members of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), the governing body for Michigan scholastic sports, except for the five schools from Toledo, which are members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Unlike many similar leagues, the CHSL governs secondary, middle, and elementary sports for most of the parochial schools in the Detroit area.
