Trevor Thurling
Trevor Thurling (born 26 April 1984) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. He played as a and for the Canberra Raiders and Canterbury Bankstown in the NRL. Playing career Thurling was born in Queanbeyan, New South Wales and played his junior football with the Queanbeyan United Blues. While attending Dickson College in the Australian Capital Territory in 2001, Thurling was selected to play for the Australian Schoolboys team. The Leeds Rhinos are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1870 as Leeds St John's and play in the Super League, the top tier of English rugby league. They have played home matches at Headingley Stadium since 1890. The year 2005 Carnegie World Club Challenge was contested by Super League IX champions Leeds Rhinos and 2004 NRL season premiers, the Bulldogs. Tetley's Super League IX was the name of the 2004 Super League championship season due to sponsorship by Tetley's Bitter. This was the 110th season of top-level professional rugby league held in Britain, and the ninth championship decided by Super League. The season culminated in the grand final between Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls, which Leeds won, claiming the 2004 title.
