Trevor Lane
Trevor Lane (born April 26, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago Dogs of the American Association of Professional Baseball. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 10th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. Career Lane attended Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, Washington. He played for the school's baseball team as a pitcher and first baseman, and was named the Gatorade Washington Player of the Year in 2012. He enrolled at Lower Columbia College, where he played college baseball for two years, and transferred to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) to play for the UIC Flames. Pitcher
In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the pitcher is assigned the number 1. The pitcher is often considered the most important player on the defensive side of the game, and as such is situated at the right end of the defensive spectrum. Trenton Thunder
The Trenton Thunder are a collegiate summer baseball team of the MLB Draft League. They are located in Trenton, New Jersey, and play their home games at Trenton Thunder Ballpark. From 1994 to 2020, it was a Minor League Baseball team of the Double-A Eastern League until Major League Baseball's reorganization of the minors following the 2020 season. Spring Training
Spring training is the preseason in Major League Baseball (MLB), a series of practices and exhibition games preceding the start of the regular season. Spring training allows new players to try out for Schedule (workplace), roster and position spots, and gives established players practice time prior to competitive play. Spring training has always attracted fan attention, drawing crowds who travel to the warm climates of Arizona and Florida to enjoy the weather and watch their favorite teams play, and spring training usually coincides with spring break for many US students. The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida.
