Trevor Connelly
Trevor Connelly (born February 28, 2006) is an American ice hockey left wing for the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He was drafted 19th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career Between 2020 and 2022, Connelly played for four different amateur teams, unusual for a player of his calibre. One of the four, Bishop Kearney High School, suspended him almost immediately before he left within two weeks. On March 14, 2022, Connelly signed with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL). At the 2022 USHL Fall Classic, he made his debut with the team in a 4–1 win over the Madison Capitols, and scored his first goal during a 6–4 victory over the Muskegon Lumberjacks. During the season, he would record a streak of 18 consecutive games with a point, the longest such streak in Storm history. Tustin is a city located in Orange County, California, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. In 2020, Tustin had a population of 80,276. Ryder Ritchie
Ryder Ritchie (born August 3, 2006) is a Swedish-Canadian junior ice hockey forward for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was selected in the second round, 45th overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career Ritchie was selected 14th overall in the 2021 Western Hockey League (WHL) prospects draft. In his rookie season in the WHL, the 2022–23 season, Ritchie scored 20 goals and 55 points in 61 games, and won the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as the WHL's rookie of the year. The Raiders would not qualify for the playoffs that year. Ritchie was selected as one of 40 draft-eligible prospects to compete in the 2024 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. Canada Men's National Under-18 Ice Hockey Team
The Canadian men's national under 18 ice hockey team is part of a three-stage Program of Excellence beginning with the Under-17 regional teams and ending with the National Junior Team. The primary objectives of the Under-18 program are to identify, evaluate, and condition players to the rigors of international competition by giving first exposure to off-shore officiating, ice-surfaces, and travel. The Under-18 squad traditionally competes in the month of August, during the off season, to allow players to further develop skills with their respective junior teams in the winter following a week-long camp. USA Hockey National Team Development Program
The United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) was started in 1996 by USA Hockey as a way to identify elite ice hockey players under the age of 18, and centralize their training. There are two teams in the program: under-17 and under-18. Both teams are based in Plymouth, Michigan. The stated goal of the NTDP is "to prepare student-athletes under the age of 18 for participation on the U.S. National Teams and success in their future hockey careers. Its efforts focus not only on high-caliber participation on the ice, but creating well-rounded individuals off the ice". While enrolled in the NTDP, players stay with billet families. In ice hockey, a Michigan goal (also known as a high wrap, a Zorro, or by other names) is a goal scored by an attacker starting behind the opposing net, lifting the puck onto their stick, moving their stick around to a top corner of the net, and shooting the puck into the net at close range. Berkly Catton (born January 14, 2006) is a Canadian junior ice hockey player for the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League (WHL) as a prospect to the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected eighth overall by the Kraken in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career In the years leading up to his junior career, Catton appeared for various AA and AAA teams in his hometown of Saskatoon, and for one season attended Shattuck-Saint Mary's, where he played at the 16U AAA level. Hat-trick
A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries.
