Trevor Bailey (rugby League)
Trevor Bailey (born 28 September 1961) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s. He played in the Brisbane Rugby League Premiership for the Brothers club and in the New South Wales Rugby League Premiership for the St. George Dragons. Career He played in the Brisbane Rugby League Premiership as the and captain on the Brothers club Trevor Bailey in the 1987 Grand Final, before signing on to play in Sydney. He went on to play three seasons with the St. George Dragons between 1988 and 1990 under the coaching of Ted Glossop and Craig Young. Craig Young (born 25 June 1956) is an Australian former representative rugby league footballer for the Australia national rugby league team, the New South Wales Blues and a stalwart player over 11 seasons from 1977 to 1988 with the St. George Dragons in the NSWRL premiership competition. He played as a prop-forward. His nickname was "Albert" after his middle name and/or the cartoon character Fat Albert. Background Young was born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia; and attended Corrimal High School. Ted Glossop
Ted Glossop (1934 – 31 December 1998) was an Australian rugby league footballer and coach. Playing career He played for the St. George Dragons for eight seasons between 1950 and 1958 and played 115 games for the club scoring 17 tries. He retired after the 1958 Third Grade grand final. Club and state coaching career He then went on to become a first-grade coach with Cronulla-Sutherland, a Premiership-winning coach with Canterbury-Bankstown in the 1980 NSWRFL season and lastly he coached St. George to a victory in the 1988 Panasonic Cup. Glossop is also remembered as the inaugural coach of the New South Wales State of Origin team from 1980 to 1981, being (replaced by Frank Stanton in 1982) and returning for the 1983 series.
