Trenton Shooting Stars
The Trenton Shooting Stars were a professional basketball team in the International Basketball League (IBL) from 1999 to 2001. History The team was owned by Herb Greenberg and Larry Keating was the president: Kevin Mackey was named coach and director of basketball operations in May 1999, and the newly opened Sovereign Bank Arena was the home court. During the IBL inaugural draft the Shooting Stars selected the following players: Kevin Ollie, Mark Baker, Shawnelle Scott, Todd Lindeman, Tyrone Grant, James Martin, Willie Simms, Moochie Norris, LaMarr Greer, Ryan Bowen and Cassette Wesson. Mackey resigned on January 19, 2000 citing health issues, and he was replaced by his assistant coach John Carideo, who stayed as the head coach until the end of the 2000–01 season. In the first IBL season the team finished with a 32–32 record: Ray Tutt was the leading scorer with 19.4 points per game, while Tyrone Grant led the team in rebounds with 8.8 and Ryan Lorthridge was the assist leade ...

The International Basketball League (IBL) was a short-lived professional men's basketball List of basketball leagues, league in the United States. The IBL was headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. The league started in 1999 and ended in 2001. History The International Basketball League was founded in early 1999 and made plans to begin play in fall of that year. The first season did not quite meet expectations with attendance, but the league was still largely functional, with the Saint Louis Swarm winning the first championship. The second season was significantly rougher, with the league losing the Baltimore and San Diego franchises and merging with teams from the Continental Basketball Association after that league folded early in 2000 in sports, 2000. Ryan Bowen
Ryan Cleo Bowen (born November 20, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player who is currently an assistant coach for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a 6'9", power forward. College career Bowen played college basketball at the University of Iowa, where he finished in the top 10 of career blocks and rebounds, and continues to hold the record in career steals. In his senior year at Iowa, Bowen averaged 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Dell Demps
Delano J. Demps (born February 12, 1970) is an American professional basketball executive and former player who is currently a front office assistant for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz and the general manager of the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans from 2010 to 2019. A 6'3" guard from the University of the Pacific, Demps played for the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, and Orlando Magic, despite being undrafted. Lloyd Daniels (born September 4, 1967) is an American former professional basketball player who played parts of five seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life The shooting guard was one of the most sought-after recruits in the nation during the 1986–87 recruiting cycle. Lawrence Abney (born May 19, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player and current player development coach/ basketball operations assistant for the Los Angeles Clippers. The Grand Rapids Hoops were a basketball team that played in the Continental Basketball Association based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their first season was in 1989 and their final season was in 2003. Professional basketball later returned to Grand Rapids with the Grand Rapids Flight in 2004. The Richmond Rhythm were a professional basketball team based in Richmond, Virginia from 1999 to 2001. The team played in the International Basketball League. They played their home games at Siegel Center on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University.
