Trent Carroll
Trent Carroll (born 28 April 1978) is an Australian rules footballer. He played as a full back and began his senior football career at Claremont in the WAFL. After spending 1996 at Claremont, Carroll made his AFL debut in 1997. He played his first match against Carlton, but never fully secured a position in the Fremantle defence, playing 6, 13 and 14 games in 1997, 1998 and 1999. With a change of coach in 1999, Carroll's position in the team was further in doubt and he was delisted after not playing a senior game in 2000. Claremont Football Club
The Claremont Football Club, nicknamed Tigers, is an Australian rules football club based in Claremont, Western Australia, that currently plays in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). Its official colours are navy blue and gold. Formed as the "Cottesloe Beach Football Club" in 1906, the club entering the WAFL in 1925 as the "Claremont-Cottesloe Football Club"', changing its name to the present in 1935. Margaret River, Western Australia
Margaret River is a town in the South West of Western Australia, located in the valley of the eponymous Margaret River, south of Perth, the state capital. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River. Mark Merenda
Mark Merenda (born 29 October 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL). Merenda began his career with the West Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Debuting in 1994 with the Richmond Football Club, he was noted as a midfielder or small forward. At the end of the 2000 season, after being out of action at Richmond from Round 2 onwards, he was moved to his home state to play with the West Coast Eagles after 75 games with the Tigers. In 2001 he kicked the Goal of the Year in Round 3 against St Kilda. Back injuries plagued Merenda throughout his career and he was forced to retire at the end of the 2002 season. Michael Prior
Michael Prior (born 6 September 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the AFL's Essendon Football Club and the West Coast Eagles. He is currently serving as the senior coach of in the AFL Women's competition. Drafted third overall in the 1992 AFL Draft, he made the unusual choice at the time to remain with his original club, East Perth, for the 1993 season, Essendons famous 'Baby Bombers' premiership winning year, as he felt that playing regular league football in the WAFL would be better for his development. Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy disagreed with this theory but allowed him to do so. He played 81 games for the Bombers between 1994 and 2000. After the 2000 season, he was dropped by the Bombers and then picked up by West Coast. Mitchell White (footballer, Born 1973)
Mitchell White (born 28 March 1973) is a former Australian rules football (AFL) player who played for the West Coast Eagles and Geelong. Along with Glen Jakovich, White was a priority draft choice from WA in 1990. In 1996 he was outstanding after being switched to center half forward after being a defender for his whole career. If it hadn't been for some school mates he would have probably kept playing rugby league and he did not play competitive football till his early teens. By 17 he was playing senior football for Subiaco. He played just two games for the Eagles in 1991 then advanced to be part of the 1992 flag side. A severe groin injury wrecked his 1993 and most of the 1994 season. Not a big marking player, he was very mobile and had strong hands. Australian Football League
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Through the AFL Commission, the AFL also serves as the sport's governing body and is responsible for controlling the laws of the game. Originally known as the Victorian Football League (VFL), it was founded in 1896 as a breakaway competition from the Victorian Football Association (VFA), with its inaugural season commencing the following year.
