Simon Tregenza
Simon Lee Tregenza (born 9 March 1971) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). An old-fashioned wingman, Tregenza is a four-time SANFL premiership player with the Port Adelaide Football Club, but missed out on Adelaide's back-to-back premierships due to persistent soft tissue injuries. SANFL career Tregenza made his debut with Port Adelaide in 1988, playing just 2 games amidst the Magpies' first Premiership success since 1981. 1989 proved to be his breakout year as he performed brilliantly, playing 31 games including Port's demolition of North Adelaide in the Grand Final and finishing second in the Magarey Medal count behind Gilbert McAdam. Rodney Donald "Rod" Tregenza (born 16 January 1979) is a former Australian rules footballer. Originally playing for the South Mandurah Football Club in the Peel Football League (PFL), Tregenza was a member of 's squad for their first season in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and later also played for , winning the Bernie Naylor Medal as the leading goalkicker in the competition in 1999 and 2000. He was recruited by the in the Australian Football League (AFL) in the 2001 Rookie draft, but did not play a game for the club, subsequently signing with the South Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Tregenza returned to Western Australian in 2005, playing one final season with East Fremantle. Sharon Tregenza (née Rosewall) is a British author of children's books, stories and verse. She was born and grew up in Penzance, Cornwall. Her work, described as mystery with a touch of magic, has been published and broadcast worldwide. Personal life Tregenza travelled widely with her husband and two children, living for many years in Cyprus, Dubai and Sharjah, where she worked in the library of the American School of Dubai and then taught conversational English to local girls before returning to the United Kingdom to study at the University of Bristol. Rob Tregenza (born November 14, 1950) is a North American cinematographer, film director, and producer who has worked as a director of photography with other directors, including Béla Tarr (''Werckmeister Harmonies''), Claude Miller (''Marching Band''), Pierre William Glenn ('' The Sad and Lonely Death of Edgar Allan Poe''), and Alex Cox (''Three Businessmen''). Early work A native of Kansas, Tregenza earned his PhD in theater arts from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1982.
