Travis Tripucka
Travis Tripucka (born May 3, 1989) is a former American football long snapper. He was signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He played college football at University of Massachusetts Amherst, Massachusetts. His cousin Shane Tripucka was a punter for the Los Angeles Chargers and is currently an NFL Free Agent. He played for the XFL LA Wildcats in 2020. Early years Raised in Boonton Township, New Jersey, Tripucka attended Mountain Lakes High School. He was named to the New Jersey First-team All-Area and Second-team All-State honors after his senior year. He was selected for the most improved freshman award. Long Snapper
In American football, the long snapper (or deep snapper) is a center on special teams whose duty is to snap the football over a longer distance, typically around 15 yards during punts, and 7–8 yards during field goals and extra point attempts. Overview During field goal and point after touchdown attempts, the snap is received by the holder, typically 7–8 yards away. During punts, the snap is delivered to the punter from 13–15 yards away. Following a punt snap, the snapper often executes a blocking assignment and then must cover the kick by running downfield and attempting to stop the opposing team's punt returner from advancing the ball in the opposite direction. If the punt goes uncaught, it is the snapper's responsibility to make sure the ball does not enter the end zone or bounce backward resulting in loss of yards. Kelly Tripucka
Peter Kelly Tripucka (born February 16, 1959) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1981 to 1991. He was a two-time NBA All Star and averaged over twenty points a game in five of the ten seasons that he played in. Tripucka played for the Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz and was a member of the Charlotte Hornets during their inaugural season in the NBA. The son of NFL Pro-Bowl (and CFL) quarterback Frank Tripucka, Kelly was a color analyst for the New York Knicks for four years, ending with the 2011–12 season. Todd Tripucka
Michael Todd Tripucka (born September 16, 1954) is an American former basketball player best known for his college career at Lafayette College during the 1970s. A native of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Tripucka played three varsity seasons at Lafayette and led the Leopards to a 58–22 overall record and one appearance in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). He was twice selected as a first-team all-East Coast Conference (ECC) player, and at the end of his senior year of 1975–76 he was named the ECC Player of the Year. That season, Tripucka averaged a school-record 26.1 points per game, which was seventh best in all of NCAA Division I men's basketball. In one game against Saint Joseph's he scored 42 points, still the fourth-best single game effort in school history. Other still-standing single season school records include points in one season (679) and field goals attempted (520). Charlotte Hounds
The Charlotte Hounds were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) field lacrosse franchise that began play in the 2012 MLL season and ceased operations after the 2018 season. The team played their home games at American Legion Memorial Stadium. Franchise history In January 2011 the MLL voted to grant expansion teams to Charlotte and Columbus, Ohio for the 2012 MLL Season. The team's first hire was Wade Leaphart, who was instrumental in establishing the team's identity, sales, marketing and operations, among other things.
