Travis Dickinson
Travis Dickinson (born 19 March 1988) is an English boxer who fights in the light heavyweight division. He is from Edmondsley in County Durham. Travis was English Light-Heavyweight champion and also won the light-heavyweight version of the Prizefighter title on 29 January 2011 with victories over Llewellyn Davies, Justin Jones and Sam Couzens at the Olympia in London. Dickinson followed the footsteps of his brother Jon-Lewis Dickinson who was British Cruiserweight champion and had also previously won the Cruiserweight version of the Prizefighter tournament. These are the only pair of brothers ever to win Prizefighter. Prizefighter Series
The Prizefighter series was a professional boxing tournament created by boxing promoter Barry Hearn and aired on Sky Sports. The format has an initial eight fighters, who compete in four quarter-finals of rounds (number and length of the rounds is same as in amateur boxing) followed by two semi-finals and one final all on the same night. The total prize money of the tournament is £80,000 with the winner of the tournament taking home £32,000, a figure that has increased from the initial top prize of £25,000 when the tournament first aired in April 2008. There have been 34 Prizefighter tournaments so far featuring 14 different weight divisions. The last tournament was held in 2015. Jon-Lewis Dickinson
Jon-Lewis Dickinson (born 3 May 1986) is from Edmondsley in County Durham and is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2008 to 2016.He held the British Boxing Board of Control, British Cruiserweight (boxing), cruiserweight title from 2012 to 2014 and challenged once for the Commonwealth cruiserweight title in 2014. In his early fights he beat journeymen Paul Bonson and Hastings Rasani on points, before winning the Prizefighter series in April 2010 beating Leon Williams (boxer), Leon Williams, Mark Krence and Nick Okoth. In July, however, he suffered a shock knockout loss to Tyrone Wright, and followed it up by retiring on his stool against Richard Turba, after suffering a badly broken jaw, which prevented him boxing for the following 12 months. Patrick Mendy
Patrick Taylor Mendy (born 26 September 1990) is a Gambian-British professional boxer. Professional career Mendy fought his first professional fight on 6 March 2009 and had a bad start to his career losing his first two fights against debuters Travis Dickinson and Tobias Webb. But, he went on to win his next two fights, one against debuter Matt Jack on points and next against Luke Allon on points who had a record of two wins in two fights. On 30 June 2010 Mendy competed in the 13th series of Prizefighter and came out the eventual winner of the competition. He came into the competition following a loss from undefeated Kenny Anderson. In his first fight he beat Sam Horton by TKO in the 1st round and broke the record for the fastest ever knockout in Prizefighter at 82 seconds (1:22min).
