The Societatea de Transport Public Timișoara S.A. commonly abbreviated STPT, is the primary public transport operator in the city of Timișoara. STPT is owned by the city, and covers the entire urban public transport, it operates the tram (7 lines), the trolleybus (8 lines), the urban bus transport (12 lines + 8 express routes and 16 metropolitan routes), the waterbus public transport on the Bega Canal and the VeloTM bicycle-sharing system. 90 million passengers are transported annually, of which 52 million by tram. Becicherecu Mic
Becicherecu Mic ( hu, Kisbecskerek; german: Fischdorf or ''Kleinbetschkerek''; sr, Мали Бечкерек, Mali Bečkerek) is a commune in Timiș County, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Becicherecu Mic. It also included Dudeștii Noi until 2004, when it was split off to form a separate commune. Its name means "Small Becicherec", as opposed to the "Great Becicherec" (''Becicherecu Mare'' in Romanian), located in Serbia and renamed Zrenjanin in 1946. Location Becicherecu Mic is located 17 km northwest of Timișoara, on the national road DN6 Timișoara–Sânnicolau Mare–Cenad. It is also connected to the Timișoara–Cenad railway, which passes to the south, with the Pescărețul Mic station. Duewag
Düwag or Duewag, formerly Waggonfabrik Uerdingen, was a German manufacturer of rail vehicles. It was sold in 1999 to Siemens with the brand later retired. History Duewag was founded in March 1898 as Waggonfabrik Uerdingen in Uerdingen and produced rail vehicles under the Düwag brand. After merging with Düsseldorfer Waggonfabrik in 1935, railway vehicles were built in Uerdingen, while the Düsseldorf plant produced mainly local traffic vehicles, namely tramway and light rail vehicles. In 1981, the company changed its name from Waggonfabrik Uerdingen to Duewag. Siemens acquired a 60% shareholding in 1989 before taking full ownership in April 1999. In 2001, the Düsseldorf plant was closed with production transferred to Uerdingen. Wegmann & Co
The form coach factory of Wegmann & Co. was founded in 1882 in Kassel (then ''Cassel'') by ''Kommerzienrat'', Peter Wegmann, and Richard Harkort as the Casseler Waggonfabriken von Wegmann, Harkort & Co. In 1886 it changed its name to Wegmann & Co. In 1912 the company was taken over by engineer, August Bode, and businessman, Conrad Köhler. Towards the end of the First World War, in 1917, the firm was given an order for the construction of the first German tank, the K-Wagen. In the 1920s the construction of railway wagons was the focus of the company. The firm became known in the 1930s as the manufacturer of passenger coaches for the Henschel-Wegmann train. GT4 (Bremen)
The Bremish GT4 is a GT4 type tramcar that was built in two main versions from 1959 to the 1980s. In the 1950s and 1960s, the Bremish tram company Bremer Straßenbahn, like many other German tram companies, changed old two-axle tramcars for modern ones on bogies. The cars could be longer, if they were articulated. In Bremen, like at the same time in Stuttgart, articulated cars on only two bogies were constructed by the local manufacturer Hansa Waggonbau. The articulation was controlled by transmission shafts. All the Bremish cars were designed for unidirectional traffic (doors only on the right side), so that they required loops on the ends of their courses. With few changes (types GT4 to GT4c), this tramcar was produced till 1968. For Bremen and Bremerhaven, 79 such trams were built. Dumbrăvița ( hu, Újszentes, until 1906 ''Vadászerdő''; german: Neusentesch; formerly Uisenteș) is a commune in Timiș County, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Dumbrăvița. One of the most developed and rich communes in Romania, Dumbrăvița has become in recent years a suburb of Timișoara. Geography Dumbrăvița is located in the Timiș Plain, in the center of Timiș County, in the peri-urban area of Timișoara, to which it is attached. It borders Covaci, Cerneteaz and Giarmata to the north, Giarmata-Vii to the east and Timișoara to the south.
