Transilien
Transilien () is the brand name given to the commuter rail network serving Île-de-France, the region surrounding and including the city of Paris. The network consists of eight lines: Transilien Line H, H, Transilien Line J, J, Transilien Line K, K, Transilien Line L, L, Transilien Line N, N, Transilien Line U, U, Transilien Line P, P and Transilien Line R, R, each operated by SNCF, the state-owned railway of France. The lines begin and end in major Parisian stations, but unlike the Réseau Express Régional, RER network, the Transilien trains do not cross through the Paris city centre. The Transilien brand was established on 20 September 1999 as a way to unify the suburban network that existed since the late nineteenth century. Transilien Line L
Transilien Paris-Saint-Lazare is one of the sectors in the Paris Transilien suburban rail network. The trains on this sector depart from Gare Saint-Lazare in central Paris and serve the north and north-west of Île-de-France region with Transilien lines "J" and "L". Transilien services from Paris – Saint-Lazare are part of the SNCF Saint-Lazare rail network. The two lines are the busiest lines in the Transilien system, excluding lines signed as part of the RER. Line J The trains on Line J travel between Gare Saint-Lazare in Paris and the north-west of Île-de-France region, with termini in Ermont–Eaubonne, Gisors and Vernon. ÃŽle-de-France Tramway Line 4
Île-de-France tramway Line 4, also called the T4, is an long tram-train line operated by the SNCF. It was inaugurated 20 November 2006, and runs between Aulnay-sous-Bois, Bondy and Montfermeil in the Seine-Saint-Denis department of Île-de-France. It is the result of the transformation and installation of a double-track on the Bondy to Aulnay-sous-Bois line, or ''ligne des Coquetiers ''("Egg Cup Line"), which opened in 1875. It thus became the first French tram-train line, an event whose true significance emerged during plans to expand it into a tramway and integrate it into the urban transport network. RER C
RER C is one of the five lines in the Réseau Express Régional (English: Regional Express Network), a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris, France and its suburbs. The line crosses the region from north to south. The line runs from the northern termini Pontoise (C1), Versailles-Château-Rive-Gauche (C5) and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (C7) to the southern termini Massy-Palaiseau (C2), Dourdan-la-Forêt (C4), Saint-Martin d'Étampes (C6) and Versailles-Chantiers (C8). The RER C line is the second-longest in the network, created from an amalgamation and renovation of several old SNCF commuter lines unlike RER A and B which had newer sections owned and constructed by RATP. Transilien Line N
Transilien Line N is a railway line of the Paris Transilien suburban rail network operated by the SNCF. The trains on this line travel between Gare Montparnasse in Paris and the west of Île-de-France region, with termini in Rambouillet, Dreux and Mantes-la-Jolie on a total of . The line has a total of 117,000 passengers per weekday. Passenger service started in 2004. Rolling stock As of October 2022, the following trains are operated on the line : SNCF Class Z 57000 (Regio 2N),and occasionally SNCF Class Z 8800. RER D
RER D is one of the five lines in the (English: Regional Express Network), a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris, France and its suburbs. The line crosses the region from north to south, with all trains serving a group of stations in central Paris, before branching out towards the ends of the line. The line connects Creil in the north to Melun and Malesherbes in the south, passing through the heart of Paris. Line D also links Gare du Nord with Gare de Lyon via Châtelet-Les Halles. Opened in stages from 1987 to 1996, it is the longest RER line by distance, and the busiest SNCF line in France, carrying up to 615,000 passengers and operating 466 trains each working day. Transilien Line R is a railway line of the Paris Transilien suburban rail network. The trains on this line travel between Paris-Gare-de-Lyon in central Paris, as well as from Melun station in the suburbs, and the south-east of ÃŽle-de-France region. Transilien Line U, also known as "La Défense - La Verrière" or more often simply "ligne U", is a tangential commuter train link, which serves the western Paris region from La Défense. It links the Paris's business district of La Défense to La Verrière station, in the south-west of Ile-de-France. SNCF Réseau
The Société nationale des chemins de fer français (; abbreviated as SNCF ; French for "National society of French railroads") is France's national state-owned railway company. Founded in 1938, it operates the country's national rail traffic along with Monaco, including the TGV, on France's high-speed rail network.
