''Trail of the Rustlers'' is a 1950 American Western film directed by Ray Nazarro and starring Charles Starrett, Gail Davis and Tommy Ivo. It is part of the Durango Kid series of films.Pitts p.363 It is also known by the alternative title ''Lost River''. The film's sets were designed by the art director Charles Clague. It was shot at the Iverson Ranch. Plot Kindly Mrs. Mahoney is actually the mastermind behind a scheme to acquire all the ranch land in the valley. Her sons and their henchmen use violence to get the ranchers to sell with her son Chick impersonating the Durango Kid who leads the attacks on the ranchers. Ray Nazarro ''(aka'' "Ray" and "Nat;" ''né'' Raymond Alfred Nazarro; September 25, 1902 – September 8, 1986) was an American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter. These were developed in the United States in southern California, because of the climate. Eugene Oliver Edgar Stutenroth (January 8, 1903 – July 19, 1976), known profesionally as Gene Roth, was an American film actor and film manager. Early years Roth was born in Redfield, South Dakota. He was the son of a German father and a Swedish mother, who raised their three sons after the father left the family. The actor, whose billing names included Gene Stutenroth, Eugene Stutenroth, and Eugene Roth finished high school in 1920 and was a manager of a movie theater before he became an actor. Myron Daniel Healey (June 8, 1923 – December 21, 2005) was an American actor. He began his career in Hollywood, California during the early 1940s and eventually made hundreds of appearances in movies and on television during a career spanning more than half a century.
