Philip Trager
Philip Trager (born 1935) is an American art photographer, known principally for his photographs of architecture and of modern dance. As of 2015, 11 monographs of his photography have been published by houses such as New York Graphic Society; Little, Brown; Wesleyan University Press; and Steidl. The transfer of Trager's archive of photographic prints, negatives, and marked proofs to the Library of Congress began in 2006. As C. William Trager
William Trager (20 March 1910 – 22 January 2005) was an American parasitologist, professor at Rockefeller University, and member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States. Trager's research focused on developing microbiological culture systems for a variety of eukaryotic pathogens. He is best known for developing a culture system for the malaria parasite ''Plasmodium falciparum'' with James Jensen in the 1970s. Early life and education William Trager was born March 20, 1910, in Newark, New Jersey to Leon and Anna (Emilfork) Trager. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University in 1930. He then moved to Harvard University where he was the first graduate student of L. R. Cleveland. In Cleveland's lab, Trager established a culture system for flagellate symbionts of the roach ''Cryptocercus punctulatus'', showing that the roach's ability to digest cellulose was actually due to the cellulases of the symbiotic flagellates. Trager Stadium
Trager Stadium is a field hockey stadium located in Louisville, Kentucky, located on the campus of the University of Louisville in Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park between the track and field/soccer stadium and the softball stadium. Trager Stadium serves home to the Louisville cardinals field hockey team and can seat 1,500 spectators in the aluminum bleacher system. The stadium is named after the Trager family, who donated money to the university. History Trager Stadium opened in 2000 along with the other sports facilities in Cardinal Park. Hannah Trager
Hannah Barnett-Trager (born Hannah Barnett) (1870–1943) was an English writer and activist. She resided and worked primarily in Palestine. Personal life Trager was born in London, but emigrated with her parents to Jerusalem in December 1871 when she was one year old. Her father, Zerah Barnett, was Lithuanian and had run a successful factory for fur products in London, gaining British citizenship in October 1871. In Palestine he went bankrupt, and the family returned to London, moving back to Jerusalem in 1874. After several more moves between London and Jerusalem her father became one of the founders of Petah Tikva, and the family lived there for parts of the 1870s and 1880s. In 1891 the family moved to Jaffa where her father lived for the rest of his life. In 1887 the family spent some time in London, where Hannah remained when the others returned.
