Tractor Drivers 2
Tractor Driver 2 is an absurd tragicomedy directed by Gleb and Igor Aleynikov, based on Renata Litvinova's script. The plot is loosely based on famous Soviet films in the manner of "Socialist realism": '' Tractor Drivers'', ''Wedding in Malinovka'' (where one of the main characters, Nazar Duma, is namesake to a character from the previous film), and '' The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed''. Plot Klim Yarko, a former tank driver, wants to find a peaceful job as a tractor driver. He falls in love with Maryana Bazhan and begins working in a successful collective farm, whose director is Maryana's father. However, he has a rival, Nazar Duma, a tractor driver in his 40s. On the other hand, the neighboring farm is getting bankrupt, and its youth creates a gang and terrorizes the farm where Klim works. The competition between two farms results in a bloody feud. Renata Muratovna Litvinova (russian: Рената Муратовна Литвинова; born 12 January 1967) is a Russian actress, film director, and screenwriter. Biography Litvinova was born in Moscow to Volga Tatar father Murat Aminovich Vergazov and a Russian mother, Alisa Mikhailovna Litvinova. Both her parents were doctors. They divorced when Renata was just one year old. After school, she entered VGIK in 1984 and graduated in 1989. She attended the same year as fellow screenwriters and directors Roman Kachanov and Arkady Vysotsky. Plot In the 1930s, the demobilized tank driver Klim Yarko returns to his ''kolkhoz'' on the Ukrainian steppe, where Mariana Bazhan works as the master of speed plowing. ''The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed'' (russian: link=no, Место встречи изменить нельзя, translit. ''Mesto vstrechi izmenit nelzya'') is a 1979 Soviet five-part television miniseries directed by Stanislav Govorukhin. The series achieved the status of a cult film in the USSR, and along with '' Seventeen Moments of Spring'' became a part of popular culture with several generations of Russian-speaking TV viewers. The series stars singer-songwriter Vladimir Vysotsky in one of his final screen appearances (his death at the age of 42 came less than a year after the film's release). Alexander Borisovich Belyavsky (russian: Алекса́ндр Бори́сович Беля́вский, 6 May 1932 – 8 September 2012) was a Soviet/Russian actor who appeared in more than one hundred films. Belyavsky was also the first presenter of the popular TV Show ''The 13 Chairs Tavern''. In 1988 he was designated a Meritorious Artist of Russia; in 2003, he was named a People's Artist of Russia. Anatoly Borisovich Kuznetsov (russian: Анатолий Борисович Кузнецов; 31 December 1930 – 7 March 2014) was a Soviet and Russian actor, best known for his role of the Red Army soldier Fyodor Sukhov in ''White Sun of the Desert'' (1970). His cousin Mikhail Kuznetsov (actor), Mikhail was also an actor. Anatoly Kuznestov was named as People's Artist of the USSR, People's Artist of the RSFSR in 1979. He lived and worked in Moscow.
