''Trachelopachys'' is a genus of South American araneomorph spiders first described by Eugène Simon in 1897. Originally placed with the Corinnidae, it was moved to the Trachelidae in 2014. Description Spiders in this genus have a characteristically dark, often jet black, carapace. The legs are reddish, and typically have dark annulations. As with most trachelids, species of ''Trachelopachys'' have no leg spines, however they do bear rows of short, thick, black cuspules on the distal segments of the front two pairs of legs. Species it contains fifteen species throughout South America: *'' Trachelopachys aemulatus'' Gertsch, 1942 – Paraguay *'' Trachelopachys ammobates'' Platnick & Rocha, 1995 – Brazil *'' Trachelopachys bicolor'' Chamberlin, 1916 – Peru, Bolivia *''Trachelopachys bidentatus'' Tullgren, 1905 – Bolivia *'' Trachelopachys caviunae'' ( Mello-Leitão, 1947) – Brazil *'' Trachelopachys cingulipes'' (Simon, 1886) – Argentina *''Trachelopachys grac ...

Albert Tullgren
Hugo Albert Tullgren (7 September 1874, in Stockholm – 1 July 1958) was a Swedish entomologist and arachnologist. In 1899 he received his bachelor's degree from Uppsala University, then from 1902 worked as an assistant at the National Entomological Institute. From 1907 he was associated with the entomology department of the ''Centralanstalten för försöksväsendet på jordbruksområdet'' (Central Institute for Experimental Agriculture), of which, he became a professor in 1913. The jumping spider genus '' Tullgrenella'' was named in his honor by Cândido Firmino de Mello-Leitão. The eponymous "Tullgren funnel" is a modified Berlese funnel, a device used to extract small insects and arthropods from soil samples. Selected works * "On the spiders collected in Florida by Dr. Einar Lönnberg, 1892-93" (in English, 1901). * "Spiders collected in the Aysen Valley in South-Chile by P. Type Species
In zoological nomenclature, a type species (''species typica'') is the species name with which the name of a genus or subgenus is considered to be permanently taxonomically associated, i.e., the species that contains the biological type specimen(s). Article 67.1 A similar concept is used for suprageneric groups and called a type genus. In botanical nomenclature, these terms have no formal standing under the code of nomenclature, but are sometimes borrowed from zoological nomenclature. In botany, the type of a genus name is a specimen (or, rarely, an illustration) which is also the type of a species name. The species name that has that type can also be referred to as the type of the genus name. Names of genus and family ranks, the various subdivisions of those ranks, and some higher-rank names based on genus names, have such types.

Carl Friedrich Roewer
Carl Friedrich Roewer (12 October 1881, in Neustrelitz – 17 June 1963) was a German arachnologist. He concentrated on harvestmen, where he described almost a third (2,260) of today's known species, but also almost 700 taxa of spiders and numerous Solifugae. He joined the Nazi Party in the 1930s. From 1933 on, he was the second director of the Übersee-Museum in Bremen, Germany. Under his direction the museum intensified its advocacy of scientific racism. The Senckenbergische Naturforschende Gesellschaft bought his extensive collection (including type material from other arachnologists such as L. Koch, Eugène Simon, Thorell, Philipp Bertkau and Friedrich Dahl) and his private library.Senckenberg forschungsinstitut und naturmuseumArachnology Some of his specimens are also in the Museum für Naturkunde The Natural History Museum (german: Museum für Naturkunde) is a natural history museum located in Berlin, Germany.
