Touristic Eastern Express
The Touristic Eastern Express ( tr, Turistik Doğu Ekspresi) is a scenic passenger train operated by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). The train runs eastward from Ankara Railway Station to Kars Railway Station. The train service debuted on 29 May 2019 with an official ceremony attended by government ministers. The service was established as an alternative to the regular Eastern Express, which runs the same line but was mostly sold-out weeks in advance in recent years for sightseeing purposes. Overview The Touristic Eastern Express departs from Ankara at 16:55 hours and arrives in Kars after 32 hours. Departure time in Kars is at 23:55 hours. It leaves Ankara on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and return from Kars is on Wednesdays, Fridays or Sundays. Paragliding
Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders: lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. Altıntepe
Altıntepe (Turkish for "golden hill") or Yerez ( hy, Երեզ) is an Urartian fortress and temple archaeological site dating from the 9th to 7th century BCE. It is located on a small hill overlooking the Euphrates River in the Üzümlü district of Erzincan Province, Turkey. Altıntepe is located at the 12th kilometre on the highway from Erzincan to Erzurum. The site was discovered in 1938 during the construction of a nearby railway line. The remains are situated on a volcanic hill 60 m high. During excavations undertaken between 1959 and 1968 and led by Professor Dr. Tahsin Özgüç, a fortified settlement from the Urartian period was found. Erzincan
Erzincan (; ku, Erzîngan), historically Yerznka ( hy, Երզնկա), is the capital of Erzincan Province in Eastern Turkey. Bağıştaş 1 Dam
The Bağıştaş 1 Dam is an embankment dam on the Karasu River near Bağıştaş in İliç district of Erzincan Province, eastern Turkey. Lake Kadı
Kadıgölü ( tr, Kadıgölü) is a fresh water creek located in Kemaliye district of Erzincan Province, Turkey. Karanlık Canyon
Karanlık Canyon ( tr, Karanlık Kanyon), literally "Dark Canyon", is a deep steep-sided gorge located between the İliç and Kemaliye districts of Erzincan Province, Turkey, formed by Karasu River on the Munzur Mountains. The Munzur Mountains, which run in about east–west direction, are split by north–south directed narrow valleys formed by streams.
