Tour Of Brotherly Love
The Tour of Brotherly Love was a 2001 tour of North America featuring Oasis, The Black Crowes, and Spacehog, three rock bands featuring pairs of brothers: Noel and Liam Gallagher, Chris and Rich Robinson, Royston and Antony Langdon, respectively. The tour's title is a nod to the fact that all three pairs of brothers have been known to fight, sometimes physically, sometimes even publicly. Originally scheduled for 21 dates across the United States and Canada, the three bands performed to capacity crowds in medium-sized arenas and concert halls, including a three-night stand at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Prior to the tour's two dates at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, The Black Crowes were inducted into the Guitar Center Rockwalk, a walk of fame honoring notable musical acts and artists. The Standing on the Shoulder of Giants World Tour was a concert tour by English band Oasis, which took place in 1999-2001. The tour was in promotion of their fourth studio album '' Standing on the Shoulder of Giants''. History After a disagreement within the band Noel left the tour after 24 May 2000, quitting overseas touring with Oasis. He only returned for shows within the United Kingdom and Ireland, before re-joining the band fully after the tour had ended. The live album ''Familiar to Millions'' was recorded at the two concerts at Wembley Stadium. Due to Liam being drunk at the second concert, voiceovers were used from concerts in Yokohama. The second Wembley Stadium concert was also broadcast worldwide the same evening. Gem Archer
Colin Murray Archer (born 7 December 1966) is an English musician and singer, best known as a member of the English rock bands Oasis, Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, making him, alongside Chris Sharrock, one of the only members of Oasis to have been part of both Liam and Noel Gallagher's post-Oasis projects. He is also known for his work with Heavy Stereo. He joined Oasis as rhythm guitarist in November 1999, and handled lead guitar for acoustic songs as well. He also contributed to the writing of some of the band's songs. Riverbend Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater located in Cincinnati, Ohio, along the banks of the Ohio River. It has a capacity of 20,500 (6,000 reserved pavilion seats and 14,500 general admission lawn) and was built for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, to allow them to play in an outdoor venue during the summer months. Paul John Weller (born John William Weller; 25 May 1958) is an English singer-songwriter and musician. Weller achieved fame with the punk rock/ new wave/mod revival band the Jam (1972–1982). He had further success with the blue-eyed soul music of the Style Council (1983–1989), before establishing himself as a solo artist with his eponymous 1992 album. Steve White (drummer)
Steven Douglas White (b. 31 May 1965) is an English drummer who has worked extensively with Paul Weller and The Style Council among others. Musical career White was given a small drum as a child by his uncle and upon joining his local Boys' Brigade he began to learn his craft. As with White's bandmate Paul Weller, he was given full support from his parents who went out of their way to help their son develop. White spent his youth having lessons from the late George Scott of Wanstead and learning from recordings of Buddy Rich and Louis Bellson. White later took lessons with drumming teacher Bob Armstrong at Bob's Masterclass studio, then in Hornchurch, Essex. White complemented his work gigging with local bands with part-time work, spending any spare cash on updating his collection of jazz records. Alan Victor "Whitey" White (born 26 May 1972) is an English drummer, best known as the drummer of the rock band Oasis from 1995 to 2004. Before Oasis, he was the drummer of Starclub from 1991 to 1994.
