Tour De La Sensitive
Tour de La Sensitive was a short 1994 concert tour by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and their first with guitarist, Dave Navarro who joined the band in 1993. Background The band had just finished their hugely successful '' Blood Sugar Sex Magik Tour'' which saw the departure of guitarist John Frusciante in 1992. The band quickly regrouped and replaced him with Arik Marshall, who would finish out the remainder of the tour. Following the tour in 1993, the band began work on their next album but the chemistry with Marshall just wasn't there so they decided to fire him. Again left without a guitarist the band decided to hold open auditions by taking out an ad in the newspaper which was a total mess due to all the people showing up. One of the guitarists that showed up was Buckethead who claimed to have never even heard of the band or their songs. "Warped" is a song by the American alternative rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers, from their 1995 album, ''One Hot Minute''. It was released as the first single from the album. It is the first track on ''One Hot Minute'', beginning with an unusually quiet intro, before suddenly kicking into a very heavy, crunching riff, and ends with a mellow, melodic outro. Anthony Kiedis' vocals are distorted and echoed throughout, and contrast dramatically with the rapping present on the band's previous material, especially on their more fast-paced songs such as this; short lines are stretched to fill an entire measure. ''Out in L.A.'' is a compilation of rare tracks by the Red Hot Chili Peppers released November 1, 1994 on EMI. Background The tracks contained are varied with the inclusion of four remixes, live cover songs of Jimi Hendrix and Thelonious Monk ("F.U." is a joke lyric over the melody of "Bemsha Swing"), the band's first demos and joke songs. The 1988 outtake, "Blues for Meister", which was the first song sung by Flea that the band released, was the only song released or recorded with then guitarist DeWayne McKnight who would soon be replaced by John Frusciante that same year. The song uses a backing track recorded by Flea and Irons, before Slovak's death. The songs "Stranded" and "Flea Fly" are two of the band's earliest recordings from 1983 when they went under the name Tony Flow And The Miraculously Majestic Masters Of Mayhem. "If You Have to Ask" is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 1991 studio album ''Blood Sugar Sex Magik''. It was released as the album's fifth and final single in 1993. A music video was made, but merely consists of live footage of the band from a 1992 show at the Winter Show Buildings in Wellington, New Zealand overdubbed with the original album track.
