''Tough Guy'' is a 1936 American action film directed by Chester Franklin, written by Florence Ryerson and Edgar Allan Woolf, and starring Jackie Cooper, Joseph Calleia, Rin Tin Tin, Jr., Harvey Stephens, Jean Hersholt, and Edward Pawley. It was released on January 24, 1936, by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Plot Young "Freddie" Vincent runs away from home with his faithful dog, Duke. Jackie Cooper
John Cooper Jr. (September 15, 1922 – May 3, 2011) was an American actor, television director, producer, and executive, known universally as Jackie Cooper. He was a child actor who made the transition to an adult career. Cooper was the first child actor to receive an Oscar nomination. Aged nine, he remains the youngest performer ever nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor, an honor that he received for the film '' Skippy'' (1931). The Warner Archive Collection is a home video division for releasing classic and cult films from Warner Bros.' library. It started as a manufactured-on-demand (MOD) DVD series by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on March 23, 2009, with the intention of putting previously unreleased catalog films on DVD for the first time. In November 2012, Warner expanded the Archive Collection to include Blu-ray releases, Some Warner Archive releases, such as '' Wise Guys'', previously had a pressed DVD release but have lapsed out of print and have since been re-released as part of the Warner Archive collection. DVD-R recordable media are manufactured on-demand for the consumer and authorized distributors for online resale, rather than the traditional business model of pressing large batches of discs that ship to "brick and mortar" retailers. Build-on-demand or manufacturing on demand (MOD) refers to a manufacturing process where goods are produced only when or as they are required. This allows scalability and adjustable assemblies depending on the current needs of the part requestor or client. Manufacturing on demand has the potential to markedly affect the manufacturing industry by shortening lead times and reducing costs. Manufacturing previously relied on Request for quotes (RfQs) that were not digitally obtainable. Examples ;Audio and video discs: Recordable discs with audio and/or video content can be published from companies to customers via manufacture on demand. This differs from traditional releases as the discs are only produced on demand, rather than being stored in a warehouse, eliminating inventory.
