Totally Gay!
''Totally Gay!'' is an American television special broadcast by VH1. The special premiered on August 18, 2003. It centrally focused on gay pop culture in the United States. The content of the show included sitcoms (''Will & Grace''), gay icons ( Kyle and Lane Carlson, who say they are not gay), and the most popular dog breed (pug). The somewhat light-hearted tone of the show was balanced at the end by narrator Trev Broudy discussing the assault that he had suffered shortly before the program was recorded, which left him with permanent brain damage. A follow-up documentary titled ''Totally Gayer'' premiered on March 10, 2004. A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Kyle and Lane Carlson (born December 24, 1978) are American identical twin brothers known as the Carlson Twins. They work together as male fashion models. Trev Broudy
Trev "Trev" G. Broudy (born October 21, 1968) is an American actor and former model. Broudy came to national attention when he became the victim of a violent attack in 2002, which touched off a national discussion of hate crimes, drawing comparisons to the Matthew Shepard case. On September 1, 2002, Broudy and friend Edward Ulett were attacked after embracing outside Broudy's West Hollywood, California home by three black male assailants, Larry Walker, Torwin Sessions and Vincent Dotson. Broudy was beaten with a baseball bat and left in a coma for 10 days. In response the West Hollywood gay community organized a candlelight vigil.
