Total Control (EP)
''Total Control'' is the first mini-album by Australian indie pop singer-songwriter Missy Higgins, released on 4 March 2022. As per the press release, ''Total Control'' has "themes of exploitation and female empowerment" and its songs were inspired by musical fragments for certain scenes of ABC TV's political drama, '' Total Control''. The album was co-produced by Higgins's friend Brendon Love, one of the Teskey Brothers. Higgins called the mini-album "about taking control as a woman", "taking back what's yours", the "right to write your own story" and about "finding strength through your love for your family, and your connections to your history". Missy Higgins
Melissa Morrison Higgins (born 19 August 1983), known professionally as Missy Higgins, is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician. Her Australian number-one albums are ''The Sound of White'' (2004), ''On a Clear Night'' (2007) and ''The Ol' Razzle Dazzle'' (2012), and her singles include "Scar (song), Scar", "Steer (Missy Higgins song), Steer" and "Where I Stood". Martha Emily Davis (born January 19, 1951) is an American rock and new wave singer-songwriter from Berkeley, California. ARIA Award For Best Adult Contemporary Album
The ARIA Music Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album, is an award presented at the annual ARIA Music Awards, which recognises "the many achievements of Aussie artists across all music genres", since 1987. It is handed out by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), an organisation whose aim is "to advance the interests of the Australian record industry." Solo artists and groups are eligible if they are an Australian citizen, have resided in Australia for six months for two consecutive years prior to the awards, or signed to an Australian record label (if they have met the aforementioned criteria). The 2022 ARIA Music Awards were the 36th Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAs) and consist of a series of awards, including the 2022 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Fine Arts Awards and the ARIA Awards. The ARIA Awards ceremony occurred on 24 November 2022, broadcast on Nine Network and live-streamed via YouTube from Hordern Pavilion, Sydney. The Teskey Brothers
The Teskey Brothers are an Australian blues rock band from Melbourne, named after the two brothers who formed the group in 2008: Josh Teskey (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Sam Teskey (lead guitar). In 2019 they signed with Glassnote Records and Ivy League Records. They have released two albums, '' Half Mile Harvest'' (2017) and '' Run Home Slow'' (2019). At the 2019 ARIA Music Awards, The Teskey Brothers were nominated for seven awards.
