is a Japanese Mangaka, manga artist and graphic novelist. He was born in Aichi, Japan. He is best known for the Pokémon (manga series), Pokémon manga ''The Electric Tale of Pikachu'' published by Viz Media (known as ''Dengeki Pikachu'' and published by Shogakukan in Japan). is a Japanese publisher of dictionaries, literature, comics (manga), non-fiction, DVDs, and other media in Japan. Shogakukan founded Shueisha, which also founded Hakusensha.
