The Torture Museum ( it, Museo Della Tortura) is a museum in the City of San Marino, San Marino. History The museum was established in 1966. Exhibitions The museum exhibits more than 100 tools for torture and punishments to people suspected of crimes, witchcraft or conspiracy. Many of the tools are the original tools used in the 16-17th century and some are the reconstructed ones from the original tools. The City of San Marino ( it, Città di San Marino; also known simply as San Marino and locally as Città) is the capital city of the Republic of San Marino. It has a population of 4,061. It is on the western slopes of San Marino's highest point, Monte Titano. Geography Although not the capital, most of the businesses are in Borgo Maggiore. It is the third largest city in the country, after Dogana and Borgo Maggiore.
