Torre BBVA México
The Torre BBVA México ("BBVA México Tower", formerly Torre BBVA Bancomer) is a skyscraper on Paseo de la Reforma in Colonia Juárez, Mexico City. It is the headquarters of BBVA México, Mexico's largest bank. Upon its completion in 2015 it became the second List of tallest buildings in Mexico City, tallest building in Mexico City at and 50 stories high. However by 2018 it is expected to be the List of tallest buildings in Mexico, fourth tallest in Mexico, after Torre KOI, Torre Reforma and Punto Chapultepec. The building was designed by LegoRogers, which is a collaboration between the architectural practices of Ricardo Legorreta, Legorreta + Legorreta and Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. Paseo De La Reforma
Paseo de la Reforma (translated as "Promenade of the Reform") is a wide avenue that runs diagonally across the heart of Mexico City. It was designed at the behest of Emperor Maximilian by Ferdinand von Rosenzweig during the era of the Second Mexican Empire and modeled after the great boulevards of Europe, such as the Ringstraße in Vienna and the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The planned grand avenue was to link the National Palace with the imperial residence, Chapultepec Castle, which was then on the southwestern edge of town. The project was originally named Paseo de la Emperatriz ("Promenade of the Empress") in honor of Maximilian's consort Empress Carlota. After the fall of the Empire and Maximilian's subsequent execution, the Restored Republic renamed the Paseo in honor of the La Reforma. Punto Chapultepec
Chapultepec Uno R509, previously Punto Chapultepec, is a skyscraper in Mexico City at the corner of Paseo de la Reforma and Río Ródano street, immediately west of Torre Mayor. Chapultepec Uno is Mexico City's third tallest building upon completion at 241m and 58 stories high. Part of the tower will be occupied by The Ritz Carlton Mexico City which is expected to open in Autumn 2021. Previous buildings on site In 2005 there was a project to remodel the existing towers on the lot, Torre Reforma 509 and Torre Reforma 506, but it was not successful. Ricardo Legorreta Vilchis (May 7, 1931 – December 30, 2011) was a Mexican architect. He was a prolific designer of private houses, public buildings and master plans in Mexico, the United States of America and some other countries. He was awarded the prestigious UIA Gold Medal in 1999, the AIA Gold Medal in 2000, and the Praemium Imperiale in 2011. Life and career Ricardo Legorreta was born on May 7, 1931, in Mexico City. Torre Reforma
The Torre Reforma is a skyscraper in Mexico City with a height of to the roof and housing 57 stories, in 2016 it became the tallest skyscraper in Mexico City, exceeding both Torre BBVA Bancomer at located just across the street, and Torre Mayor at located next to it. Construction began in May 2008. The complex hosts a restaurant, a shopping mall, entertainment areas and the DOOM International's Reforma Gym. The construction of the building was managed by Vertical Capital Group while LBR and Architects was charge of development. Colonia Juárez, Mexico City
Colonia Juárez is one of the better–known neighborhoods or colonias in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City. The neighborhood is shaped like a long triangle with the boundaries: Paseo de la Reforma on the north, Avenida Chapultepec on the south, and Eje 1 Poniente (Avenida Bucareli) on the east. The Torre KOI is a 64-story mixed-use skyscraper located in the Valle Oriente district of the Monterrey Metropolitan Area. Designed by VFO Arquitectos, it is the center piece of the VAO complex. Standing it is currently the 2nd tallest complete building in Mexico.
