Toronto Attack
The Toronto Attack was a junior ice hockey team based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It played in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). History The Attack was announced as an expansion team on March 19, 2012, by the GMHL. On September 15, 2012, it played its first game, in Thornhill, Ontario, against the Toronto Canada Moose The Toronto Blue Ice Jets were a Junior ice hockey team based out of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. The team played in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). History The Jets were Thornhill's only Junior hockey team after the Ontario Provi ..., where it picked up its first victory 10–2. Andrew Magee scored the first goal in team history 4:09 into the first period. Caydon Edwards made 23 saves in the win. On September 18, it played its first home game, against the Moose, and won 9–7. 2014–15 GMHL Season
The 2014–15 GMHL season was the ninth season of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). The twenty teams of the GMHL played 42-game schedules. Starting in February 2015, the top teams of the league played down for the Russell Cup, emblematic of the grand championship of the GMHL. Since the GMHL is independent from Hockey Canada and the Canadian Junior Hockey League, this is where the GMHL's season ended. The Temiscaming Titans defeated their division rival Seguin Huskies in the final series 4 games to 1 to win the Championship. The Kingsville Kings are a junior ice hockey team based in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the South Division of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). The Kings were founded in 2015 and joined the GMHL to compete in the 2015–16 season. The club plays their home games at Kingsville Arena Complex. History The Kingsville Kings was announced to the public in summer 2015 with local Tom Schinkelshoek named the team president. The Kings started their first season with a lengthy undefeated streak. Their first game took place in Brantford, Ontario, on September 8, 2015, against the Brantford Steelfighters, winning 11–0. The St. George Ravens are a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey team based in St. George, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). History Originally announced as the Cyclones, the Halton Ravens joined the GMHL in spring 2013 based in Burlington, Ontario. On September 5, 2013, the Ravens played their first game in team history, at home, against the defending league champion Bradford Rattlers which the Ravens lost 6–1. Brett Lee scored the first goal in franchise history at 6:47 of the second period. On September 15, 2013, the Ravens won their first game, at home, versus the Powassan Eagles. The Plattsville Lakers are a Semi-Pro ice hockey team based in the township of Blandford-Blenheim in Plattsville, Ontario, Canada. The Lakers joined the Western Ontario Super Hockey League in 2022, after being a part of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League from 2015-2022. They were originally located in Port Stanley, Ontario, and then in West Lorne, Ontario, and London, Ontario. The Seguin Huskies are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Humphrey, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). History The Seguin Huskies joined the GMHL in spring 2013. The Huskies are the first junior team in Humphrey since the Seguin Bruins of the Ontario Junior Hockey League folded in 2010. The Toronto Blue Ice Jets were a junior ice hockey, Junior ice hockey team based out of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. The team played in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL). History The Jets were Thornhill's only Junior hockey team after the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League's Toronto Thunderbirds relocated to King City to become the Villanova Knights. They were founded as the Toronto Canada Moose in the inaugural year of the GMHL in the 2006–07 season as one of seven original league members. The first game took place on September 9, 2006, against the King Wild in Thornhill, Ontario resulting in a 5-1 loss.
