Toro Rosso STR6
The Toro Rosso STR6 is a Formula One racing car developed by Scuderia Toro Rosso for the 2011 Formula One season. It is the second car that the team has built entirely on their own following the introduction of regulations that banned the use of "customer chassis", a chassis developed by one team and purchased by another (prior to 2010 Toro Rosso used a customer chassis from its "big brother" Red Bull Racing). Toro Rosso STR6 was also the first-ever Faenza-based Formula One car to utilize Pirelli tyres since 1990 Minardi M190. In 2011, the car was driven by Sébastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari, with test driver Daniel Ricciardo being guaranteed the opportunity to drive the car in the first practice session of a race weekend at all twenty races in the season (Ricciardo was signed by Hispania Racing as a replacement for Narain Karthikeyan from Round 9 of the championship in Great Britain). Minardi M190
The Minardi M190 was a Formula One car designed by Aldo Costa and Tomasso Carletti and built by Minardi for the 1990 Formula One season. The car was powered by the Cosworth DFR V8 engine and ran on Pirelli tyres. It failed to score any points for Minardi. The Minardi M190 was the last Faenza-based Formula One car to run on Pirelli tyres until Toro Rosso STR6 in 2011. Racing history Minardi had used the M189 for the first two races of the season but without finishing in the points, before the M190 debuted in the third race of the season, the San Marino Grand Prix, driven by Italians Pierluigi Martini and Paolo Barilla. Martini failed to start the race after an accident in practice while Barilla qualified 26th on the grid. He went on to finish 11th, which would prove to be his best finish of the year. It featured the 1990 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1990 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a sixteen-race series that commenced on 11 March and ended on 4 November. Ayrton Senna won in controversial circumstances the Drivers' Championship for the second time, and McLaren-Honda won their third consecutive Constructors' Championship. The 2011 Brazilian Grand Prix (formally the Formula 1 Grande Prêmio Petrobras do Brasil 2011) was a Formula One motor race held on 27 November 2011 at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, Interlagos, in São Paulo, Brazil. It was the nineteenth and final round of the 2011 Formula One season. The 71-lap race was won by Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber.
