Torgeir Garmo
Torgeir T. Garmo (born 13 March 1941) is a Norwegian hotelier, rock collector, non-fiction writer and politician for the Centre and Liberal parties. Garmo was a member of Lom municipal council for the Centre Party. In 1979, he quit his membership together with mayor Kristen Brandsar. Ahead of the 1981 Norwegian parliamentary election, the Centre and Liberal parties decided to contest the election through a common list. While each party fielded their independent ballots, one candidate could become a deputy for another party's candidate. The Centre Party's top candidate Lars Velsand warned that the now-Liberal Garmo could be his deputy, instead of the Centre Party's preferred deputies Syver Berge and Maj-Britt Svastuen. Centre Party Of Norway
The Centre Party ( no, Senterpartiet, Sp; se, Guovddášbellodat), formerly the Farmer's Party ( no, Bondepartiet, Bp), is an agrarian political party in Norway. Ideologically, the Centre Party is positioned in the centre on the political spectrum, it advocates for economic nationalist and protectionist policy to protect Norwegian farmers with toll tariffs, and it supports decentralisation. It was founded in 1920 as the Farmers' Party ( no, link=no, Bondepartiet, Bp) and from its founding until 2000, the Centre Party joined only governments not led by the Labour Party, although it had previously supported a Labour government in the 1930s. Jotunheimen National Park ( no, Jotunheimen nasjonalpark, "Home of the Giants") is a national park in Norway, recognized as one of the country's premier hiking and fishing regions. The national park covers and is part of the larger area Jotunheimen. More than 250 peaks rise above an elevation of , including Northern Europe's two highest peaks: Galdhøpiggen at , and Glittertind at .
