Tore Østby
Tore Østby (born 1972) is a founder, guitarist, producer, and songwriter for Norwegian progressive metal band Conception. After the band stopped playing on a permanent basis (the band was active from 1989 to 1998 and went on a 10-year hiatus) he, along with John Macaluso and Jørn Lande formed progressive metal band Ark. Tore is currently working as a senior advisor aGramArt an organization established in 1989 to protect the recording artists’ intellectual property rights, other legal rights, and professional interests. On 30 April 2018 it was announced that Tore's original band Conception was reunited with new material. Tore is married to Swedish guitarist Maria Engström Østby and they live with daughter Matilda in Stockholm. ''Starfire'' is the first album by Jørn Lande's solo project Jorn. It was released on 21 November 2000. It has mainly a melodic hard rock sound and several cover songs of his favorite bands. The album features members of his two then-current bands Ark and Millenium. Lande said in interviews that the album is more of a demo thing than a full-length album with high production, which was much more improved on his next albums. State Of Deception
''State of Deception'' is the fifth full-length album by the Norwegian power metal/progressive metal band, Conception. It is the band's first album in two decades with new material, and was released on 3 April 2020. A music video for "No Rewind" was released on 22 May 2021. On 6 June 2021, Conception announced that they would be releasing an expanded edition of the album in 2022, featuring live tracks, re-recordings and new songs. The deluxe version of the album features the single, "Monument in Time" which was released on 5 February 2022. Critical reception Alan Cox, a reporter from ''Sonic Perspectives'' rated the album 8.1 out of 10, and stated: "''State of Deception'' is not a perfect record. For one, it’s too short. John Macaluso
John Macaluso (born January 21, 1968) is an American drummer who has played for bands such as Ark, TNT, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Born in Commack, New York, Macaluso started playing drums at age 11. He has recorded over 200 records and played multiple world tours. He also runs clinics and teaches others. Biography Education John Macaluso began his studies with his friend and mentor, Joe Franco (Good Rats), of whom Macaluso says, "his playing and teaching changed my life". He later began instruction under Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs), Dom Famularo and Tommy Aldridge (Ozzy Osbourne).
