Toray Arrows Men's Volleyball Club
is a men's volleyball team based in Mishima city, Shizuoka, Japan. They play in V.League Division 1. The owner of the team is Toray Industries. History The team was founded in 1947 as "Toray Kuryukai" at the Shiga Plant of Toray Industries, Inc. The name "Kuryukai" comes from the nine players in the team and the "Crane Wing Formation" in Sun Tzu's "The Art of War". In 1961, the team won the title in the 9-player division of the All-Japan Championship and the 6-player and 9-player divisions of the National Sports Festival. In 1963, the team won its second title in the 9-player division of the All-Japan Championship and moved its home base to Mishima the following year. In the Japan Industrial League (then V.Challenge League), the team was promoted in the 6th league in 1974 but was relegated five years later and returned in 1988. Kentaro Takahashi
is a Japanese male volleyball player. He is part of the Japan men's national volleyball team. On club level he plays for Toray Arrows. Personal life His family consising of father, Kazuhiko Takahashi, used to play Baseball. His mother, older sister and a younger sister, who is a Long jump athlete. Career Kentaro used to play Baseball before and he aimed to be professional baseball player. But at 15 years old, he broke his elbow so he had to quit playing baseball. Vladimir Nikolov ( bg, Владимир Николов, born October 3, 1977) is a retired Bulgarian volleyball player, a former member and captain of his country's national team. He played as a wing-spiker and has been part of the Bulgarian national team in all recent championships. Naonobu Fujii
was a Japanese volleyball player, who was also a member of the Japan men's national volleyball team and of Toray Arrows. Personal life Naonobu Fujii grew up in Miyagi, Japan where he attended Furukawa Industrial High School, a school known for its volleyball team. Gaining an interest in the sport, he went on to play for Juntendo University. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as cycling in his free time.
