Tor Odvar Moen
Tor Odvar Moen (born 14 January 1965) is a Norwegian handball coach. He is currently head coach for Molde Elite. Moen has been part of Larvik HK in different roles since 1997. It was announced on 21 January 2015 that Moen would take over as head coach of Larvik HK, succeeding former head coach Ole Gustav Gjekstad. He had previously been handball coach for IL Runar. It was announced in March 2018 that Moen will be taking over the Hungary, Hungarian team Siófok KC who is going hard for the top positions in the country and for play in the best European tournaments. As a coach he has won the Norwegian championship eleven times, the Norwegian Handball Cup eleven times, the Norwegian championship playoffs eleven times, Women's EHF Cup Winners' Cup, Cup Winners' Cup once and the Women's EHF Champions League, Champions League once. IL Runar
Idrettslaget Runar is a Norwegian sports club from Haukerød in Sandefjord. It has sections for athletics, handball, football, and cross-country skiing. It was established on January 7, 1949. Athletics Its athletics section is known for its prominent long-distance runners. Olympic competitors Gunhild Halle Haugen and Marius Bakken represented IL Runar, and so did Susanne Wigene for a limited period. Local rivals in both handball and athletics are Sandefjord TIF. Larvik Håndballklubb, is a women's handball club from Larvik, Norway. History Larvik HK was founded in 1990 as a merger of the handball departments in the two clubs Larvik Turn and Halsen. They played in the top division since 1992/93. During their first year they were close to relegation, but managed to remain on top. They saw their breakthrough the following season, as they won the league title in 1994, and played the Norwegian Cup final. From the late 1990s, Larvik was the strongest team on the Norwegian women's handball scene over a period of about twenty years, winning the league 19 times and the cup 17 times between 1994 and 2017. Siófok KC
Siófok Kézilabda Club is a Hungarian women's team handball team from Siófok, that currently play in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. They have competed in lower divisions until 2006, when they have won the third-tier championship and gained promotion to the Nemzeti Bajnokság I/B. That time a businessman, János Fodor took over the club, and with the support of the local government, he guaranteed the financial background to fulfil the club's long-term plans. In May 2009, SKC received a surprise request from the Hungarian Handball Federation to replace the financially struggling Tajtavill-Nyíradony and join the top level championship. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. Ole Gustav Gjekstad
Ole Gustav Gjekstad (born 29 November 1967) is a Norwegian handball player and coach. As player he won the Norwegian league and cup with Sandefjord HK, and he scored more than five hundred goals for the Norway men's national handball team. His achievements as coach include winning national titles, the EHF cup and the Women's EHF Champions League with Larvik HK, and leading the Women's club Vipers Kristiansand to national titles and victories in the Women's EHF Champions League. Playing career Born on 29 November 1967, Gjekstad spent most of his playing career with Sandefjord HK, and won the Norwegian league and the cup with this club. The Women's EHF Champions League is the competition for the top women's handball clubs in Europe, organised annually by the European Handball Federation (EHF). It is the most prestigious tournament for clubs, with the champions of Europe's top national leagues participating.
