Top Gear (Indian Magazine)
The Indian edition of ''BBC TopGear'' is published by Worldwide Media Pvt. Ltd (WWM), a sub-division of The Times of India Group formed in 2005 as a joint venture with the BBC. The magazine is published out of the Times of India Building, opposite Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station. The first edition was launched in September 2005. ''BBC TopGear'' is an automotive magazine with a lifestyle flavor. So apart from road tests its USP are its surreal features which normally test the cars and bikes in various environment and talks a lot about driver interactions with the car and not just the technical specifications. The magazine has made a niche for itself with its take on automotive journalism. BBC Worldwide
BBC Worldwide Ltd. was the wholly owned commercial subsidiary of the BBC, formed out of a restructuring of its predecessor BBC Enterprises in January 1995. The company monetises BBC brands, selling BBC and other British programming for broadcast abroad with the aim of supplementing the income received by the BBC through the licence fee. The company merged with BBC Studios on 1 April 2018, to form a new licensing, production, and distribution company under the BBC Studios name. Dhaval Sunil Dhairyawan (19 April 1979 – 22 March 2012) was a lifestyle and automotive photographer from India. He was noted for his Photojournalism for ''The Times Journal of Photography'', TopGear India Magazine, The Times of India and Lonely Planet Magazine. He died on 22 March 2012 due to a prolonged illness. Piramal Art Gallery, Mumbai hosted a photo exhibition in his memory under the name, ''The Dhaval Dhairyawan Retrospective''.
