Toothgrinder
Toothgrinder is an American progressive metal band from Asbury Park, New Jersey. History Original members Wills Weller, Justin Matthews, Matt Arensdorf, Jason Goss, and Matt Mielke met during high school and informally formed the band after their graduation. They kept the band together while attending 10 different colleges. EPs Toothgrinder has released three EPs - ''Turning of the Tides'' in 2011, ''Vibration/Colour/Frequency'' in 2012, and ''Schizophrenic Jubilee'' in 2014. ''Nocturnal Masquerade'' On January 29, 2016, Toothgrinder released their first full-length album, '' Nocturnal Masquerade''. The album has been met with widespread critical acclaim. Spencer Sotelo of Periphery provided guest vocals on the album's eighth track, "Diamonds for Gold". I Am (Toothgrinder Album)
''I Am'' is the third studio album by American metalcore band Toothgrinder. The album was released on October 11, 2019 through Spinefarm Records. Lyrical themes Opening track "The Silence of a Sleeping WASP" is a sequel to "The Shadow" from the band's previous album '' Phantom Amour''. Lyrically, the songs deal with Carl Jung's concept of the shadow and how it deals with addiction and alcoholism. The album's title track also deals with themes of addiction, along with depression, anxiety, and co-dependency, among others. Reception ''I Am'' polarized critics upon its release. Cryptic Rock gave the album a perfect score of 5/5, calling ''I Am'' the band's most complete work to date. ''Nocturnal Masquerade'' is the debut studio album by American metalcore band Toothgrinder. The album was released on January 29, 2016, through Spinefarm Records. This is the last release to feature guitarist Matt Mielke. Overview The album was produced by Taylor Larson ( Darkest Hour, Veil of Maya). Spinefarm Records is a Finnish independent record label focusing mainly on heavy metal artists. It is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. History Spinefarm Records was originally founded in 1990 by Riku Pääkkönen as a mail-order distribution company for rock and heavy metal albums and singles, but later became a record label for Finnish acts such as Nightwish, Children of Bodom, and Sonata Arctica. Since 2002, Spinefarm has been part of Universal Music Group, but operates as an independent business unit. Matt Squire (born May 7, 1976) is an American record producer, audio engineer, mixing engineer, and songwriter. All That Remains is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1998. They have released nine studio albums, a live CD and DVD, and have sold over a million records worldwide. The group currently consists of vocalist Philip Labonte, rhythm guitarist Mike Martin, former Diecast drummer Jason Costa, and lead guitarist Jason Richardson, with Labonte being the last remaining original member.
