Toon Ebben
Antonius "Toon" Ebben (22 December 1930 – 4 February 2011) was a Dutch equestrian. After acting as a groom for Max and Ernest van Loon at the 1952 Summer Olympics, Ebben began competing himself, riding ''Kairouan'' in the 1950s–60s and later ''Jumbo Design'' (born 1969). At the 1976 Summer Olympics he finished 25th and 12th in the individual and team mixed jumping events, respectively. The following year he won a bronze and a gold European medal in these events. Tilburg
Tilburg () is a city and municipality in the Netherlands, in the southern province of North Brabant. With a population of 222,601 (1 July 2021), it is the second-largest city or municipality in North Brabant after Eindhoven and the seventh-largest in the Netherlands as a whole. 's-Graveland
s-Graveland is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Wijdemeren, and lies about 4 km northwest of Hilversum. The former municipality of 's-Graveland merged with Loosdrecht and Nederhorst den Berg on 1 January 2002 to form the new municipality Wijdemeren. The village was first mentioned in 1634 as "de akkers in 's Graevenlandt", and means "the land of the Count (of Holland)". The area was property of the count until the early 16th century when it was cultivated. Show Jumping World Championships
The World Show Jumping Championships, or the show jumping competition at the FEI World Equestrian Games, was started in 1953, with individual competition. In 1978 Team competitions began, and men and women began competing against one another. From 1990, show jumping was brought together along with the other equestrian disciplines into the World Equestrian Games (WEG). They are held every four years. The 2022 edition will be held in Herning, Denmark. European Show Jumping Championships
The FEI European Show Jumping Championships is the European Championship for the equestrian discipline of show jumping. First held in 1957 in Rotterdam, and on an annual basis, it is held every two years, on the years between Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded in both the individual and, since 1975, team competition. There are also championships held for young riders, juniors, ponies, children and veterans. The most recent edition in 2013 was held as part of a combined FEI European Championship, with dressage and para-dressage. Both David Broome and Paul Schockemöhle have won the individual title three times. The Federal Republic of Germany have won the team title seven times, with Great Britain next on four team wins. The Order of Orange-Nassau ( nl, Orde van Oranje-Nassau, links=no) is a civil and military Dutch order of chivalry founded on 4 April 1892 by the queen regent, Emma of the Netherlands.
